Hi everyone! ^_^

During the kick off for our Summer Meltdown event back in the beginning of last month, I introduced a few new goodies: shiny cards and the return of our Woolly World theme. Although I didn't plan for it at the time, it turns out I have another treat in store as Summer Meltdown comes to a close. I'm thrilled to introduce our new alert system, and a tagging feature to go along with it!

You'll see at the top of the board there is a new tab called Alerts, located between the User CP and Inbox links. You will receive an alert for any of the following:
  • A user replying to a thread you are subscribed to
  • Being quoted by someone
  • Receiving a buddy request
  • Being tagged in a post
If for whatever reason you don't wish to receive an alert for any or all of those things, you can change your alert settings via your User CP.

Tagging is very simple to do too. All you have to do is type the @ symbol and a pop-up box will appear suggesting usernames to tag, and starting to type out a username will have it suggest who you're trying to tag so you can autocomplete it. If you do not wish to tag someone but want to use the @ symbol either alone or before something else, just use the backspace key and the pop-up box will go away, allowing you to continue to type whatever you want instead.

There shouldn't be any problems, but if you do find something that breaks with these new additions then please let me know. Smile
@"Sunbum" Moony is it working?

I didn't see an alert for it but I saw this post first, so for all I know it removed the alert because I had already seen what the alert was for.
How about now, Mr. @"Sunbum" ? Tongue
I'm not getting alerts at all for tagging. I don't know if it's just me.

@ShiraNoMai
It's not just you, it's also me! @"Sunbum"
It appears that telling the plugin to remove the @ symbol from names causes it to not trigger an alert. For now I doubt I can do anything to fix that but I will notify the plugin creator about that issue.
Strange, I got alerts, unless it has been fixed.
