RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - queenzelda - Oct 25th, 2024 Do you like living out here in the US? I'm sure needing a car to get everywhere seemed odd at first. Like most places I'd say it has things it does better/similar/worse but nothing so bad that any positives become redundant. As for needing a car, that was a real pain in the arse for me when I first moved here because I didn't know how to drive. I never needed a car where I lived in England and although I had visited the area I currently live in multiple times before moving to it I didn't realize how dire the lack of a car really is because my vacations here didn't require me to worry about getting around. It would be awesome if cars weren't so necessary in the US but from the various YouTube videos I've watched on the subject it just doesn't look like it'll ever be possible to emulate the transportation culture of Europe due to the way everything has already been built here. RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - Eric - Oct 29th, 2024 Yeah I wish we could fix our transportation system. There's a young local councilman I support who has made inroads into trying to get ordinances passed that would encourage people to move into the city rather than sprawl like we already do, that way hopefully planting the seeds for a future where discouraging outskirts living would make it easier to build needed infrastructure that can be enjoyed by everyone for cheaper. Maybe a much less interesting question than zelda's, but I'm curious what your perspective is on Florida? I have my own opinions based purely on memes as I've never lived there. I'm sure many have similar, maybe opposite feelings about California too lol. What has been your favorite state so far? Just the number of Cybertrucks I've seen here alone I feel speaks volumes to the proportion of people with money and little sense. Just the weather alone is bad enough that nothing else could possibly salvage it from the bottom of my visited states pile. As for favorite, maybe New York? A lot of the architecture and weather reminded me of being in England so it had a nice familiarness to it at times. However, I wouldn't want to actually live anywhere near NYC just because of the traffic alone. RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - Karo - Nov 16th, 2024 Just because I am up I wanted to wish you a very happy birthday Moony! I hope you have a wonderful birthday and school is giving you a short break from kicking your butt at this moment! I also read the previous questions on this page and I yearn for a country that doesn't require cars. XD RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - shadow - Nov 16th, 2024 Happy birthday Moonface! I hope it's a good one. RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - Mr EliteL - Nov 16th, 2024 Happy Borfday dear boy, yes hope today and Shira treats you well, perhaps to a dinner out or whatever she has planned. ![]() RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - queenzelda - Nov 18th, 2024 Happy (late) birthday Moonie! I hope your day was amazing. :3 RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - Eric - Nov 18th, 2024 Happy birthday Moonster RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - Moonface - Dec 1st, 2024 Whoops, I thought I had replied here since my birthday but I guess not. ![]() Thanks for all the wishes everyone; I really appreciate it! ![]() As for what my birthday day was like since a few of you wished my day would go well, I got a copy of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (PS5) from Shira as well as a choice between one of the following:
![]() If anyone is interested I'd be happy to upload some of the photos I took of the kitties. ![]() RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - ShiraNoMai - Dec 1st, 2024 Day-of, of course, I had a few ideas of what we could do, and Moony ultimately chose to attend a local art festival that was happening on his birthday. It was a lovely day out to walk around, and his head wasn't in any kind of debilitating pain that day, so it was worth the effort! We later had a homemade dinner from my mom (as well as cake!) to round out his day ![]() RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - Moonface - Dec 1st, 2024 (Dec 1st, 2024, 05:55 PM)ShiraNoMai Wrote:Oh wow I completely forgot we did that too and went to your mum's for dinner. ![]() RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - ShiraNoMai - Dec 1st, 2024 I imagine the cat conservatory would be infinitely more memorable than an outing and dinner with my mom ![]() Do you actually know what your love language is? Until recently, I had no idea it was a copyrighted thing; I thought they were genuine psychological concepts. It turns out it stems from this pastor's novel from the 90's that eventually got studied at to prove (and disprove) some of the suggestions. It's probably how it gets co-opted into actual couple therapies because while the tenets of the idea aren't necessarily true, the foundation of there being a way couple's express their affection in ways that may or may not differ from their respective partner is valid (plus all the other conversational channels between the couple open up as a result) I actually find this article on it pretty helpful at showing the rights and wrongs with it. Anyway if you wanna take the test, go for it. It's at best a 5-8 minute endeavor: https://5lovelanguages.com/quizzes/love-language RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - Mr EliteL - Dec 1st, 2024 Ah the night trip gave you more to do yourself, nice. Happy the day went well and the cat sanctuary was clearly worth it. I WANNA SEE THE BIG KITTIES. RE: A.M.A.A. - Ask Moonface Anything, Again - queenzelda - Dec 2nd, 2024 I too want to see the kitties. I think my love language is making homemade buttermilk biscuits, or food in general. xD Once you graduate from college, what are your plans after that? |
