Grand Theft Auto VI | Delayed to November '26
Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed again, now launching on November 19, 2026. The game was originally announced with a 2025 release date, which was then changed to May 26, 2026 a few months ago.

Rockstar explained that the delay was to allow for more time to polish the game prior to release.

At this point, I'm waiting for Rockstar North to go full 3D Realms and say the release date for GTA6 is "when it's done". That would just be peak comedy.

Had to look up who 3D Realms were and as soon as I saw Duke Nukem I knew everything I needed to know. ROFL

I expect that Rockstar would probably prefer to not be giving out release dates, but that the shareholders want one because of how big GTA VI is going to be. When this game was first announced it had a 2025 release date which was never realistic and I bet it was slapped on to just make shareholders happy. Heck, it probably caused their stocks to shoot up despite being unrealistic and was chosen for that reason over a 2026 date. I know @ShiraNoMai has stock in Take Two so maybe she can actually see info about how their stock changed around the times different dates for this game have been announced? Hmm
