Either build a wall or just build off the ground. At least off the ground we don't run the risk of opening the door to an enemy.

Honestly I kinda like having stuff off the ground but it also sounds dangerous if we get knocked off we will be in a very bad state.

How do you create a new world on the server? It's not the same as in single player?

Well it kinda like using the actual minecraft jar if you don't put a server in there it'll automatically generate one.

I wouldn't do a specific seed anyway since the fun is the randomness of it. As for time I could play pretty soon probably once I've had lunch.

I'll be honest, I'd probably prefer to start on regular mode, unless I can be carried by you guys on Hardcore lol

So, after much exploring and fiddling, it turns out that due to external factors, I cannot access the server from the Xbox version, which is the only version freely available via Xbox Game Pass. As the game is $27 base (?!), I refuse to spend that much money on a game I despise with a firey passion. As such, I'm afraid I will not be joining you guys on your escapades unless something massive changes (either Xbox allows server list access without a hack, or I can access the windows version for free).

For anyone curious how it's going so far, I'm the only one who didn't die and both Yuri and Shira died almost back to back, and in the process discovered that we were in hardcore when before that point we had been playing under the idea we were not in hardcore.
@Maniakkid25: I know the Java version used to offer a demo but I don't know if that's still the case. Although it don't know if the demo could use multiplayer.
As a note to everyone, be aware you need the Java version of the game. Bedrock will not be compatible.

Yeah, the only problem with a demo is that the demo will eventually cockblock me and say "PAY US $27 TO ACCESS THE REST OF THE GAME!" (i checked the price), and no! I ain't doing that shit! Especially since I'd be barking up the wrong tree anyway by waiting for free access to the windows 10 version, you guys have fun with that.
