Having finished the Dead Space Remake yesterday I got to thinking about Dead Space 2 and remembering some of the awesome lines Nicole will say to the player during the game to mess with Isaac. This one is definitely my favorite of them all:

What makes it better is how her voice is always distorted and disturbing in the game due to her haunting Isaac's psyche. Grin

So I recently started re-reading a Halo fanfic (IT'S SO GOOD! It's called "Finishing the Fight", and it's by Red Mage 04), and I was reminded that the Halo series actually has some really good lines, but the one I come back to again and again is the opening line of Halo 3. The very first thing you hear is Cortana talking, and it's just such a good monologue.

Imagine if she said this to a Spartan where she actually was wrong and the bastard dies not long after. Or if she said it in Reach to the one girl in your squad who gets a bullet through the head out of nowhere. ROFL

Well, to put this monologue in perspective, the scene that plays while she goes on about saying this is the Chief rocketing through the Earth's atmosphere UNPROTECTED, and landing in the ground, with a fade to black at the "Was I Wrong?" He's still alive after that. So, yeah, I think she's got a point about the Chief being a lucky son of a bitch lol.

I've never seen that cutscene before since I've not reached Halo 3 yet (I started 1 after Reach and have yet to finish it) but the part where Chief comes towards the screen as he lands reminded me of the scene from the intro to Tomb Raider 3 when a meteor lands in a jungle area because of the dimly lit trees that can be briefly seen as Chief flies by them. XD


Thinking of Tomb Raider, this line became a favourite of mine from TR2 when I played through the remaster because it adds subtitles, and I finally learned this guy is saying "With the tommy gun on my keyring" when he first responds to Lara. I never knew what the heck this dude was saying before then and didn't even think he was speaking English, but I guess that's what you get when the voice acting for anyone but Lara was done by someone on the dev team just doing a really shit Italian accent. Man I forgot about this sequence in Unmetal with the drill sergeant speech to his platoon at the end of Chapter 4. It's so good that there's multiple lines that could be the best, but I think my personal favourite is this exchange:

"And where the fuck did you come from? You're so ugly you could be a modern art masterpiece! Did your father fuck an orangutan?"
"Sir, no sir."
"Fuck, your face is a sales pitch for condoms. Have you ever screwed needledick?"
"Yes sir."
"You can't be serious! What did you screw? A lightbulb?"
"Sir, no sir!"
"So you've never screwed in a lightbulb?!"

I should really play this game for myself some time. XD
