RE: Notable/Celebrity Deaths | Chuck Norris (86) - Mr EliteL - Mar 20th, 2026 He's probably best known for the endless Chuck Norris facts/jokes people have made. This day was to come at some point. Still, RIP to a literal man, myth and legend that is Chuck Norris. I did watch some of Walker, Texas Ranger when it was airing on a US based channel for the UK, same one that aired NCIS when I was watching that as it was on before NCIS when I came home from work in my earlier years at work. They were alright, the episodes usually ended with some ass whooping as you'd expect.
RE: Notable/Celebrity Deaths | Chuck Norris (86) - Dragon Lord - Mar 22nd, 2026 Rest in peace, King. I will round-house kick the next customer that annoys me at work in your honor, sir. o7 RE: Notable/Celebrity Deaths | Chuck Norris (86) - Moonface - Mar 22nd, 2026 (Mar 20th, 2026, 04:31 PM)Mr EliteL Wrote:Yeah, besides being in a Bruce Lee movie I couldn't name a single other thing the man was in. It makes me wonder if a lot of people wouldn't really know who he was if his name hadn't been attached to incredibly popular memes.
RE: Notable/Celebrity Deaths | Chuck Norris (86) - Dragon Lord - Mar 22nd, 2026 (Mar 22nd, 2026, 07:29 PM)Moonface Wrote: Walker: Texas Ranger was a very popular TV series in the 90s, but of course if you weren't living in America at the time, you would have likely never heard of the show. That TV show is what sparked the "Chuck Norris Jokes/Facts" culture of the mid-2000s. RE: Notable/Celebrity Deaths | Chuck Norris (86) - Moonface - Apr 16th, 2026 (Mar 22nd, 2026, 07:50 PM)Dragon Lord Wrote:Yeah, I've never heard of that. I also thought the jokes of Norris being able to nuke the moon with his bare hands like Piccolo was from his appearances in fighting movies like Way of the Dragon and stuff. In news I completely missed and stumbled onto by pure chance, Jock Blaney, the voice actor for Wolf and Bill Grey in Starfox 64, has passed away at the age of 67. RE: Notable/Celebrity Deaths | Jock Blaney (67) - Mr EliteL - Apr 18th, 2026 I've not played Star Fox 64 so haven't heard the Blaney's voice until just now as I went searching for a video. I swear they kept changing the voices of the Star Fox characters for some reason. Well at least the Smash games they've always been different. Anyway, RIP to him. 67 is a bit early. I know many have already gone but really puts into perspective of all the voices we heard from earlier games, they're all becoming older and/or passing away, even those we may have not heard before. RE: Notable/Celebrity Deaths | Jock Blaney (67) - Moonface - May 12th, 2026 I wonder if he knew about the Star Fox 64 remake before his passing or not? I just realized he passed away about 3 weeks before the surprise Star Fox Direct and he obviously didn't reprise any of his roles for the remake. ![]() Also in news that seemed to be very low note for how much notable stuff they did, Ted Turner passed away on May 6, 2026 at the age of 87. |
