RE: Otherworldly Being - Mr EliteL - Jan 20th, 2026 Yeah even though 50's isn't really old, to a kid of 10 or younger that's old. I can't remember what age I was when we got T1/T2 wasn't on release year for T1 but young enough. Also Heihachi had the "OoOoOhh' whenever he was hit, though funny it put me off playing him. T1 he was the boss character and I didn't want to play as a boss either, T3 was when I started to get a better view of him, though took until T4/T5 I'd play him a bit.My Dad like playing Jack in the older games, yes even he played a little. I didn't until Gun Jack, then P Jack in Tag1 even though I found out later he's regarded as one of it the worst character in Tag 1, but loved combining the move P Jack does that send the opponent flying vertically into the air, then I catch them mid-air with an arm move that spins them around then send them flying horizontally. I was like that with Hwoarang as well, switching stances. At least Baek didn't do that. RE: Otherworldly Being - Moonface - Mar 7th, 2026 (Jan 20th, 2026, 10:42 AM)Mr EliteL Wrote:Whenever my dad played Tekken he usually went with Paul because of his biker character, but would play using primarily punches because he would treat it as doing a real fight where you punch rather than kick. Somehow he never picked up Steve in Tekken 4 despite that character being perfect for his playstyle. ![]() If you could pick different subjects for your GCSE choices from the three you did pick, what would they be? RE: Otherworldly Being - Mr EliteL - Mar 9th, 2026 Did your Dad find Paul's unlockable punch? Though perhaps he wouldn't use it from the start up being interrupted, or if missed the opponent can get a hit in. I'd have dropped History for something else, I took practically nothing from that really. Probably Business Studies, yeah that lame but I avoided it, thinking there's no way I'd be interested but it would've helped more than History. I ended up sucking in...I forgot what the subject was called, think it had Design & Technology in the title, we physically made stuff, though the final exam was written for some reason. Not sure what I'd swap that with, Geography perhaps as I'm really bad at knowing where places are. Also to learn more about areas as I at least can guess there's a lot more the subject covers.Wouldn't change Art except what I decided to do within that, especially my final art piece, ugh. At least it wasn't as bad that fucking piece I did in college, you'll know the one if I just give you ball if light. Also wish I did better in P.E, at least get a hobby from that at an earlier age, because I pretty much have to learn from scratch if I take anything up now. Attempted Tennis once, good gracious sucked big time. I did like Badminton in P.E but didn't pursue that as a hobby. RE: Otherworldly Being - Moonface - Mar 11th, 2026 I know my dad was aware of the move because I'm sure I used it against him once and he called it bullshit. I don't think he ever used it himself though; he just jabbed at people until they went down. XDI knew you'd drop History if nothing else because I recall how much you and Matt hated that class. I don't blame you, the department made it seem GCSE History would be about cool shit like wars and such in detail not deemed suitable for younger students, and instead what you got some bollocks about the history of medicine or something? ![]() The subject you're thinking about was CDT, which I never knew what it stood for fully but apparently it's Craft, Design & Technology. The heck though, a written exam final instead of something practical?! I guess maybe because the grading is done by an external body that receives the filled out exams and it would be hard to grade physical stuff, but then again wasn't our Fine Art final literally that? Now I'm wondering how that was graded because I know we never sent the work away, so either the teachers were allowed to grade us or some poor bastard had to visit every school to grade the works. ![]() And ugh, I remember now how my final for Fine Art had the teacher force me to use paint because they were convinced I was only using pastels because you, Matt, and SCAZ ON FIRE! were using them too when the reason I used them was because I liked using them. Then that same teacher was all "Oh, I thought you'd be better at painting..." No dipshit I suck at it that's why I didn't want to touch it with a ten foot pole on a normal day let alone for a final exam!Yes, I remember what piece you're talking about and funnily knew what it would be before I reached the end of the sentence. Probably because I was already thinking about painting and that's the only time I remember either of us doing a painting at college. ![]() Dang, the amount of memories I have about P.E. in general probably outstrips most other classes from secondary school. People turning the lights off in the changing room and it turning into everyone trying to hit each other in the dark because nobody could know who actually hit them to retaliate; everyone finding any excuse possible to try and get out of swimming (I don't blame them, those speedo's were never going to fly with teenagers); the time we all had to run a lesson for 20 minutes each; and when the department changed to offering five different choices for what sports you'd do across the year and how nearly every boy in our year went for Group 1 because it offered football.
