RE: Tomb Raider (Series) | Future Reveal at TGA's - Moonface - Dec 14th, 2025 Two New Tomb Raider Games Revealed Two new Tomb Raider games have been revealed during Thursday's nights broadcast of The Game Awards 2025; Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider: Catalyst. Legacy of Atlantis is a remake/reimagining of the original Tomb Raider. This is the second time the game has received such treatment, with the first being Tomb Raider: Anniversary which released back in 2007 as part of the Legend trilogy. That game will be followed up with an original new entry, Tomb Raider: Catalyst, and is considered to be a direct sequel to Tomb Raider: Underworld which released in 2008. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is set to release in 2026, followed by Tomb Raider: Catalyst in 2027. I like the look of the remake, but whatever yassification Lara got in that Catalyst trailer needs to go because it looks bad. Also I hope that the remake of the first game isn't to try and somehow have Natla come back after the events of Underworld. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis | Release Date Trailer - Moonface - Jun 2nd, 2026 Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis | Release Date Trailer A new trailer revealed during today's State of Play presentation has announced that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will release on February 12, 2027. Again, another game I wasn't fully sold on because I didn't really know what another remake of Tomb Raider 1 was going to offer, but this looks very distinct from Anniversary to get my interest now. Speaking of Anniversary, I fucking adore that the over-the-top flipping combo animation from that game is in here even though it had no point except to just be flashy, just like her ability to handstand and dive in the Core Design series of games. I'm hoping this comes out good but I am a bit wary of it because of Amazon being the developer.
