Speaking of, I was able to get a Switch 2 from Best Buy. I've yet to hook it up, but I'm excited to try all of its features.
Funnily enough, that's exactly where I got my Switch 2 from, and I also have yet to set it up. It's just been sitting in its box since launch day when we got it. ROFL
Did you get the MKW bundle or just the standard console option?
Yea, all they had was the MKW bundle. I didn't care, I just wanted the system, so I bought it. I also got Donkey Kong Bonanza and it's a lot more fun than I thought it would be. It's a lot like SM: Odessey with the costumes but I love being able to tear sh*t up. lol
Your approach is similar to mine, except I was seeking the MKW bundle but if the only option was the standard one then so be it, so long as I got a Switch 2 either way.
Since mine continues to live in its box, how different does the Switch 2 feel for you when using it compared to the Switch in terms of like the controllers, joy-cons, and whatnot?

I'd say that since I have used it in handheld mode playing Donkey Kong Bonanza that it's a whole lot smoother then I thought it would be. Especially with the joy cons. The older Switch controller I had for my og Switch wasn't working very well so I had to switch to the joy cons in order to move the character around better. I already got an 8bitdo one & still need to try it out. XD More since the 8bitdo's don't drift and have been great controllers in general for me. I need to get used to playing Mario Kart World, but tbh I'm not a Kart person so we'll see. So far I've been enjoying Pokémon Violet shiny raids, and the Wo-Chien stuff, so for me it's been worth moving my library over to it. :3 (But again that's me.)

Also the Switch 2 is a tad bit bigger then the og one, so it's something to get used to but I do like that its a tad larger.

I have yet to pick up a Switch 2 and I'm unsure if I will in the future? But for those of you that have it how would you all say you like to compare to OG switch? Do your games run better on it and have you had any issues with getting your switch games running on it? For the general improvement I think it could be worth it I just felt a bit iffy about the game pricetag rise cause I feel like in general Nintendo Switch games kinda rarely fall in prince to the level you see them on steam which is more affordable for me.

Probably worth holding back on a Switch 2 due to current prices because I can see them potentially increasing at some point, considering news just broke that Nintendo are raising the price of the original Switch:
  • Switch Lite - $30 increase to $229.99
  • Switch OG - $40 increase to $339.99
  • Switch OLED - $50 increase to $399.99
Not to broach the subject much further than this, but raising prices and rarely offering notable sales just makes emulating Nintendo games more attractive to those such as yourself that are feeling priced out. Heck, @ShiraNoMai wanted a copy of Pokémon S/V and although I could have afforded getting it for her for Christmas or whatever, that game isn't remotely worth full price for me to justify spending any money on it so I straight up told her to emulate it and she did. My point being that even when a game can be affordable it doesn't mean everyone will be okay with actually paying the asking price for it.

Really, an increase? You'd think they'd do the opposite $30/40/50 decrease, but Nintendo be Nintendo'ing I guess, be allergic to giving sales.

Although I did just read there's sales figures for Switch 2 being more than 6mil, thus making it the fastest selling console, and Mario Kart World being close to that as well. Perhaps instead the increase is for greed to capitalising on the stragglers buying Switch over Switch 2. Ehh.
