The latest Petal Palmer video on a medical case! I really love listening to her videos while I do things, it's quite interesting (though always very sad). She deserves more subs ~

Have you ever watched Chubbyemu? They're like more quick, narrative-focused versions of her videos if you've ever wanted a bite size version of her content. I did just add her to my subscriptions though, I should check more of her stuff out!

Metalingus - Alter Bridge

Also, it seems Spotify now lists every single song in your listen history even if you skipped it instead of listening to it, which I think is stupid but also it really highlights just how much I actually skip tracks in my Liked Songs. Just today alone I went through 120 songs, but looking at it I only actually listened to maybe 9 or 10 songs? Saturday was 154 but I bet it wasn't more than 10 again.
What really irks me is looking at just today's list, a good 2/3 of the list is made up of the same three or four artists, and with this new system I just know that Wrapped is gonna be all "lmao you loved these four artists" and I'm gonna be all "No I liked skipping them because you kept pushing their shit onto me and nothing else!"

Was listening to Metalingus yesterday, along with The Other Side because I was watching/listening to entrance themes and saw Edge's Judgement Day/WM38 one and had to hear the full song.

Thus once again my song now is The Other Side - Alter Bridge

I've also been watching ppv match cards and it's making me remember 2001-03 songs used.

Improper Dancing -- Electric Six

Anybody remember Electric Six? Who could forget such amazing hits as Danger! High Voltage and Gay Bar? Yeah, you remember them! Anyway, this particular song has the best use of the "Stop" cliche in songs. You know the one: the vocalist says the word "Stop", and the music stops. This one has that happen, and then two beats later the vocalist says "Continue!" ...I think it's funny, anyway.

@Mr EliteL: Another Alter Bridge song WWE used at one point was Find The Real for Royal Rumble 2005, which is also from the same album as Metalingus.
I'd also recommend checking out some of the match cards from recent WWE PLE's because there's some really good ones, particularly Money in the Bank 2024 with its spy/heist theme making for some cool animation work. On the flip side, I couldn't recall a single song used for any of their recent events even if you put a gun to my head. Tongue

@Maniakkid25: I feel like it's impossible to forget Electric Six once you know they exist. LOL
I also didn't think they were still active because I haven't seen or heard anything about them since the late-2000's/early 2010's.

Ah yes, Find The Real that is another good song, got reminded of it both by your post and when I was watch matching card videos when RR05 came up, a segment of the song played.

Just music on my PC I ripped from my CDs.
First Ayreon - Transitus album, then Amaranthe - Helix album.

Sound of the Wind (aka Morning Sky) (English) -- Kumi Tanioka with vocals by Donna Burke

Another banger not available in its official version on Spotify! This one is actually worse, because it can ONLY be bootlegged off of Youtube -- there isn't even an official posting of it! I will take the remastered version -- they rearranged it for the Remaster that was released a while back -- just put the song on Spotify, Square Enix!

Welcome Home -- Coheed and Cambria

So, I just found out that the lyrics as transcribed on Rock Band are completely wrong, and I don't know what to do with this information, because now I don't know if ANY of the lyrics are any good, anymore! See, one of the lines, according to the liner notes of the album the song is from, is "As Jesus played letter". Rock Band transcribes this as "Like Jesus played martyr", which completely ignores how martyr is pronounced, so I don't know how this screw up has gone un-updated for 20 years!

Oh, and I also found out what the song is about. See, I always knew the lyrics were about a girl lying to the singer, but I didn't know how extreme a scene it depicts. See, almost all of Coheed and Cambria's music accompanies a comic/novel series called the Amory Wars, with each song depicting a scene from it. This particular song is accompanied by the scene where a major character named "The Writer" is burying his cheating ex-girlfriend alive, so that's hardcore!

I got really curious about these lyrics so went looking to see if anyone else had ever brought this up, and I did wanna say the letter version is the correct one because Spotify uses that. However, I did find one discussion about what the lyric is supposed to be and some think it might be "Jesus bled later" and was changed in Rock Band for censorship reasons, and "Jesus played martyr" would be a fitting substitute thematically even if the lyric sounds odd.
Although, a later comment says Josh (lead singer or something I guess?) confirmed it was "played letter" so now I have no clue why the Rock Band version is different; it's not like that lyric would need to be censored. Errm

Yeah, and the official liner notes have that lyric too, so I don't know how this happened. I trusted you, Rock Band! How could you do this to me! [/drama]

RE: Current/Last Thing You Listened To? - Moonface - May 5th, 2025

I feel your pain with believing the wrong lyrics are the correct ones for a long time. I've had multiple songs on Spotify where the lyrics didn't match what I had read when looking up the lyrics online a long time prior and I'd spent so long singing those songs with the wrong lyrics that it's still hard for me to remember the correct ones. LOL
