Before I watched the video above, the last thing I had watched was this: Can You Beat Ratchet and Clank Without Jumping? If nothing else, I recommend people check out this part from the video for an incredibly cool trick that also causes a hilarious glitch. XD RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Kyng - Aug 23rd, 2026 The Dutch Grand Prix, at Zandvoort. It's the last race there for the foreseeable future (they didn't extend their contract past this year) - which I just can't understand, since the sport must surely be enjoying a surge in popularity there thanks to Max Verstappen! At least it was a good race, though, with a genuine battle for the lead - even if Max crashed out early on, denying the fans a chance to see their local hero past the first lap .
RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Maniakkid25 - Aug 28th, 2026 @Moonface You completely missed the Shark-Dolphin-Shark. At 4:27, the van picks up a Shark inflatable that immediately turns into a dolphin, and then turns back into a shark as they exit the location. It's my favorite bit of the entire thing. That and the ending where they magically just shift off the railroad tracks somehow despite braking straight forward. The entire video is brilliant. God, I love the QUALITY van! The vid with the annotations has a terrible framerate, but it'll be acceptable as a substitute, I guess. I don't know why Youtube killed Annotations. I liked Annotations. They had a use. Edit so I don't double post: How 9 Yu-Gi-Oh Cards Bankrupted an Entire Company So, this is a wild as hell story. Like, every time I thought I knew what was going to be said, I got uppercutted with a suprise. The biblical levels of greed here are fucking amazing! RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Kyng - Sep 13th, 2026 Currently watching a model locomotive review (for a locomotive I already own, so it's a bit late to influence my purchasing decisions ). But at least the review seems favourable so far, so I guess I made a good purchase! Before that, I watched the Spanish Grand Prix, which was at a brand-new circuit in Madrid, appropriately named the "Madring". This circuit presents a demanding technical challenge for the drivers and cars - but sadly, there weren't many good overtaking opportunities, so it wasn't the most entertaining race to watch! RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Moonface - Sep 13th, 2026 Steve Of Warr | Playing the Mario 64 Tomb Raider Mod... I only fully watched the first couple of levels then after skipped around to just find any parts from the game I was curious to see in this mod, such as Mario fighting the T-Rex at the 38:00 mark. It probably won't happen but I'd love to see someone try and speedrun this because I bet you can pull some wild shit using Mario's moveset in OG Tomb Raider. RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Mr EliteL - Sep 13th, 2026 It's likely been done before with other games/characters, but first time I've actually seen a character play as they would in their own game, in another game. Funny how Mario's using his jump kicks and dives to kill enemies, but damn poor T-Rex didn't stand a chance.

I can't say I've seen other examples of porting a character visually and mechanically over to another game though. I also learned that during the Greece chapter, the human enemy Lara has multiple encounters with throughout it is able to actually die during any of the encounters where they'll run away after taking enough damage. Normally, Lara will never deal enough damage to kill them before they run away and despawn, but all of Mario's attacks in that mod are a one hit kill. I expected his attack to just trigger that human enemies run state though because I didn't think the developers were just using the same one you fight and can kill at the end of the chapter in a boss fight. Can You Beat Ratchet & Clank Without Collecting Bolts? Some interesting tech in here that wouldn't be used for almost any other challenge run of this game. Also a shame that if not for being forced to collect two bolts at the start of a level that can't be avoided no matter what, it would genuinely be possible to beat the whole game without collecting a single bolt.
RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Kyng - Sep 20th, 2026 A game show called "Wisdom of the Crowd". In this show, the contestant has to answer questions whose answer is a number (e.g. "How many hours a week does the average adult spend cleaning?"). But the audience will also answer the same question... and in order to get the point, the contestant has to beat the audience (i.e. their answer has to be closer to the correct answer than the average of the audience's guesses is). Usually, the average of the audience's guesses is pretty close to the correct answer - so, this is often not easy! RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Moonface - Oct 3rd, 2026 @Kyng: Interesting. It reminds me a little of the Ask The Audience perk in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Last thing I watched was this absolute gem: Checked this out after seeing it brought up in discussion about the referee for this match as being one of the best in the business. It's nothing short of utterly stupid in the best way and could only work if the referee can sell it properly to the audience. The spot that finishes the match is *chef's kiss*.

It's good fun to watch, but I've found I'm rubbish at it when I try to play along at home . For example, I vastly estimated the average number of books in a UK household (the average is 99; I guessed 400). But I think we have more than 99 books on just one bookshelf, let alone the whole house!
RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Moonface - Oct 10th, 2026 Dead Meat | The Mummy (1999) Kill Count I can't say I expected this movie to get a kill count that went over 200 kills; I'd have bet it would struggle to even hit half that number. Besides that, there was some cool facts in this about the movie I didn't know, the most impressive of which might be the fact it didn't need a single reshoot. RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Kyng - Oct 12th, 2026 University Challenge. There seemed to be quite a lot of linguistics on today's episode (both teams did have a linguist, so I don't know whether this was specifically planned for them!). I did get quite a few questions right, but not all of the linguistics ones .
RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Mr EliteL - Oct 13th, 2026 Hellboy (2019) That was....certainly a movie. One I would've avoided by myself, but watched at my Dad's to kill time as it was something myself and sister hadn't seen. Don't remember Ron Perlman's Hellboy be as stupid as this one and the ending, I was expecting more from the Big Bad. Ehh. Also a Simpsons episode, one I hadn't seen. Bart was sent to a center for Sociopathic kids, and Lisa was trying to make an old machine made by a female inventor I think, to be recognised. Rather weak really. I think there's more Episodes I've not seen now compared to how much I have, probably quite possibly double the amount too.
RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Kyng - Oct 17th, 2026 The Celebrity Traitors. It's been good fun to watch so far (as it often is), even if: RE: Current/Last Thing You Watched? - Moonface - Oct 18th, 2026 (Oct 13th, 2026, 09:34 AM)Mr EliteL Wrote:I'm surprised you've watched so much of the newer seasons considering they rarely seem to come close to the quality of anything put out pre-Simpsons Movie. ![]() Resident Evil (2026) Went to watch this on Thursday night for @ShiraNoMai's birthday, and I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to watch a simply enjoyable horror movie. It doesn't really adapt much from the games, but I think that lets it have more freedom in the same way as RE7 had freedom to do its own thing by not directly tying itself to any of the prior games. It has a ton of great humor in it that captures that campy/silly spirit RE has but handles it in a way that lets the serious and horror-centric moments hit a lot harder. |
