Pokémon Legends Z-A The Pokémon Company revealed the next Pokémon Legends which looks to be set in the Kalos region, and will be released next year, 2025. Well that was fun thinking the TCG game was the final thing when the chat was commenting on how much time was left and then they squeezed in that final announcement. No remake exactly though this time like most people were thinking it would be. More of a short and sweet Direct than last year's which was 25 minutes long as opposed to this 12 minute Direct. Wonder if Z-A will give improvements or add to the Legends gameplay style. RE: Pokémon (Series) | Presents on Feb. 27 - Moonface - Feb 27th, 2024 Only curious about the Pokémon Legends: Z-A so just checked out the trailer for that. Definitely takes place in the same region as X/Y does, and the Z is clearly for Zygarde. I don't know off the top of my head what the A is standing for though. Edit: I closed the video when the logo appeared stupidly thinking there was nothing after it and completely missed the reveal that Mega evolutions are coming back. I wonder if we'll get any new ones or if it'll just be the same lineup XY had. Also shoutout to Gen 5 just being ignored for any remake or new entry in favour of skipping right from Gen 4 to Gen 6. RE: Pokémon (Series) | Presents on Feb. 27 - Dragon Lord - Feb 28th, 2024 I think Gen 5 remakes will still be on the way eventually. Maybe not this year or next year, but I'd say I'd be surprised if we didn't hear about Gen 5 Remakes by 2026. I'm definitely down for another Legends game though. Granted I still have to go back and actually finish Legends Arceus, but they definitely laid down the foundation for something great and I hope to see them build on that instead of taking a big step back like they have been with the main Pokemon games for a while now. I hope that if this game does well, they'll be more motivated to continue the Legends series further and some day we might see a Legends game taking place in Jhoto. Poké Transporter GB - Moonface - Aug 26th, 2024 Poké Transporter GB - A Fan-Made Gen I/II to Gen III Transfer Tool Using Original Hardware A new fan-made tool has made it possible to transport Pokémon from the Game Boy games forward into the Game Boy Advance games using original hardware, which isn't a standard feature for the games from that era of Pokémon. The tool, known as Poké Transporter GB, is the work of Austin Weber a.k.a. The Gears of Progress. Weber began the project to address the problem it resolves, with V1 being released this week after the project's initial release eight months ago. Austin Weber Wrote: The process was documented on their blog, but there is also a video that quickly breaks down the development process: Anyone wishing to use the tool themselves can obtain it from the projects official GitHub page: https://github.com/GearsProgress/Poke_Transporter_GB If you're not planning to use it but want to see it in action, you can do so here: Poké Transporter GB - Video Demo I doubt anyone will have a use for this but I still think it's cool and wanted to share it. RE: Pokémon (Series) | Poké Transporter GB - ShiraNoMai - Aug 27th, 2024 From what I remember when they were going to shutdown Pokémon Bank, folks were trying some wild shit to get their mons over, and I think the only method that "worked" was to rewrite the Virtual Console G/S/C game's save with the cart dumped save file. I mean this is technically just as hacky as that method but it's wild that it's like, actually in-software made. The folks that have a handle on GameFreak's engine do some absolutely MIND blowing stuff with the toothpicks and earwax that shit is built on. RE: Pokémon (Series) | Poké Transporter GB - Moonface - Oct 13th, 2024 Game Freak Suffers Massive Leak Game Freak has suffered from a massive data leak after an employee fell victim to a phishing scam that allowed an external party to gain access to Game Freak's development databases. The company has since released a statement addressing the matter: Game Freak Wrote: There was an incredible amount of content leaked, and I'll try my best to categorize it all in a way that makes it easy to get a gist of what was leaked even if you don't want to outright view any of the actual contents. Obviously leaked employee information is not going to be included and under no circumstances is anybody allowed to post any such content.
RE: Pokémon (Series) - queenzelda - Oct 14th, 2024 I've seen these leaks all over twitter and I'm clicking on nothing. All I wanted to see was the art work that wasn't used and I find it funny that we almost had a water bunny instead of a mudkip. RE: Pokémon (Series) - Moonface - Oct 14th, 2024 I'm pretty sure any of the links in my post above don't contain anything that is for upcoming projects, although as far as I know the only image of something new that was shared is a still from an upcoming animated movie. And yeah, that water bunny we never got is so insanely popular with people where I think it's probably the highlight of the leaks for most people. With how well its design has been received I wonder if Game Freak will consider revisiting it and introduce it officially in a future game. I bet if TPC announced merch for it it'd become a best seller before the end of the day. RE: Pokémon (Series) - ShiraNoMai - Oct 16th, 2024 #NotAllTyphlosions Seriously, a case of "someone wildly misinterpreted a translation and yelled their results on a loud speaker" if I've ever seen one. Calling and comparing a fictional monster/creature as akin to real heinous crimes, mostly I think for lulz, but it's really messed up and gross we jump to these conclusions from what I find to be the most tame story of a mythology I've ever read: Let me know what you guys think. The lore is based off the Japanese "yokai" folklore. RE: Pokémon (Series) - Mr EliteL - Oct 16th, 2024 Didn't look at all the links, just the first beta sprite set and the two Beta Artworks. Yeesh some of those sprites look very oof, not a loss there really in that they weren't finalised versions. Gen 3 at least had well designed sprites that were better than the Beta ones. The ones in the artwork that got my attention were the skeletal-like Metagross looking one and the...forgot what the Pokémon's name is but it looks similar, these two artworks had them looking more menacing, horrific even. They would've been great. The water bunny is also good, nice to see many others are liking it too. RE: Pokémon (Series) - queenzelda - Oct 20th, 2024 And Gamefreak tried to get you back into playing Pokemon Sl/Vl by offering you a shiny Melowetta by completing your Pokemon HOME pokedex, plus the dlc pokedexes. Which I did, & it was a lot of work just to make sure I got her. AND I DID. |
