Hello Kitty Island Adventure [steam]: So far I'm best friends with at least 4 Sanrio characters. I should be making up visitor houses for the other ones that will be visiting soon, but meh. XD I did what I could for the day and saved then quit.

So, I downloaded and started playing because I saw the ads for it on Youtube, and I couldn't believe them. Like, there was no way, right? There's no way they're doing this. But no! They are!

They are commiting full-scale character design theft.

All of the characters -- ALL OF THEM -- are sexy female versions of characters from other anime and video games. Oh, they renamed them in-game -- not in the ads -- but they are obviously based on other characters. Just from what I recognize, I've seen Bleach, Naruto, Demon Slayer, Full Metal Alchemist, One Piece, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, Hellsing, Dragonball Z, Persona 5, Overwatch, Death Note, and My Hero Academia! And those are just the properties I recognize! I have no doubts there are more!

This game is gonna get nuked in a week, I swear! This feels like a fever dream that they had the audacity to do this! Holy crap!
I think I saw an ad on the badmobilegameads subreddit for this, because I recall learning of a mobile game that just blatantly stole characters from other franchises but gender swapped them.
As for it being nuked, I can't see it, only because I think I heard it was a Chinese game and they don't give a rats ass about copyright. At best it'll get removed from app stores but I doubt the game itself will go anywhere. Eh

Hello Kitty Island Adventures: Still leveling the characters up. Some new ones arrived and a new area opened up. Did some stuff and saved then quit when I was done. I'm staying as spoiler free for this as I can. :3

Pokémon Violet: Did some shiny hunting since there is a few shiny raids going, I got a shiny Smolive and a shiny Lapris. <3 I also caught the mightiest mark Maskerada too. :3

Yes, more so since I also caught the mightiest mark Skelederge already in my Violet file. :3

Suikoden 1 + 2 HD Remaster [Steam]: I decided to get the pc version since my og PlayStation versions are still in good shape physically. I started of with S1 and got as far as the Dwarf town before I saved then quit for the night.

I fought two wars against Babylon, both of which I won, although I didn't get to wipe them off the map. The first time, I merely got some gold - while the second time, I was given the city of Akkad as part of my peace agreement:

Genshin Impact

Mainly just doing dailies, events, farming and whatever. Got Furina on my NA account so I should be very well off on that, managed to 36 Star Spiral Abyss with my Ayato team and Clorinde team.

Wuthering Waves

Dailies and events really, struggling on the Whispering Wastes event for some reason.

Zenless Zone Zero

Just got impulse to go ahead, download and try the game. Combat is actually really fun and there's a lot of side content to get into other than the combat gameplay and story.

So, I've completed the story, and now I'm just doing side quests and grinding up my gear. Game's been fun; not much to say about that. Not looking forward to Jin Dahaad and Gore Magala grinding, though...

How was the story in the end? I'm curious what your take is on it after hearing it's rather forgettable or just there on some of the streams I watch that have played the game.


Slay the Spire (PC)
Have every character up to A9 now, with Watcher being the last one to beat A8 which I achieved just now. The more I play this game, the more some of the flaws start to become apparent such as certain characters really only having what feels like one viable deck to try and aim for if you want to get a chance at winning, especially on higher ascensions.

I liked the story, and most of my friends agree with me, actually. I really liked Nata's character arc (fanfic sequel of Nata as a hunter is demanded!), and it was interesting the twists and turns it took. It does have a few issues -- namely, the deus ex machina of the fact that Nata's village survived, as well as Zoh Shia's introduction and exit -- but overall it was a solid attempt, and the fact that they attempted it at all for this series is fucking mind-blowing. The characters are rather lively, all things considered (Rove is best Wudwud), and, I do have to say this: when Capcom tries, they can write very compelling and interesting characters (see Devil May Cry). I honestly bet that the people who say the story is just there checked out before they got to the first Sandtide, and stopped paying attention to what actually happened.

Also, a lot of people hate Nata, and I don't understand why. He's a fucking kid, guys! What do you want from him?!

Meanwhile, my friends have been diving deep into the lore of the series, and this is the problem with having a series with no story, but L O R E -- you get obsessive nightmares of people trying to piece together clues (see Five Nights at Freddy's). Personally, I was thinking this game was its own separate universe... right up to the point that Monster Hunter World continuity was explicitly mentioned after conpleting a side quest, of all damn things! So, yeah, that was wrong.

We're playing the PC version. Its graphics are somewhat less terrible than the legendarily-bad PS1 version's, but they still haven't aged brilliantly!

Anyway, the last game I played was Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic. I'm playing the Mystic Mountain scenario, which isn't too difficult: just need to have 800 guests at the end of October, Year 3, with a park rating of at least 600. And with four in-game months to go, I'm achieving that comfortably:

Yeah I saw this on one of the streams I was watching, where I guess a viewer commented that Nata wasn't very useful and the streamer asked them what the heck they expected a kid to do in the middle of a fight against a giant monster?! XD

Ah. I'd say that might be the best version, even when considering the PS2 version of the game because that one while having the best visuals, has a lot of issues with the story that I don't think any of the other versions suffer from.


Slay the Spire (PC)
Good lord I must have done over a dozen runs today with Defect on A10 and it's like the game is just trying to generate the most awful map layouts known to man. One of my maps in Act 1 had a split path where one side had three elites in every other room, and the other side had an elite and a burning elite either side of a regular battle room. Another run saw my Act 2 map provide zero rest sites except for the start and the end, which meant trying to do an entire act without healing which unsurprisingly didn't go well.
I was being stubborn at first and trying to force a run to actually be successful but after almost 2+ hours of failures I'm finally giving up for now...
