Summer Meltdown 2018 | Results - Moonface - Jun 25th, 2018

Hi everyone! Summer is here and that not only means either going out (ew) or staying in playing video-games (yay!), but also that it's time for Universal Gaming's annual Summer Meltdown event!

As always, we'll be running a variety of contests and activities for everyone to participate in throughout this event, focusing on summer and video-games! Taking part in the festivities will earn you points that can be cashed in at the end of the event to get yourself some hot prizes, so even if you're not great at winning you still have a chance to get something! You're also welcome to make and/or suggest your own Summer themed contests and/or activities, which will also be eligible for earning points.

1st Place
  • $30 PSN / XBL / Nintendo Gift Card or PayPal cash equivalent, or a pick from our prize pool
  • 3 Bonus, Non-Duplicate Universal Gaming Cards
  • Coloured Username for 3 weeks
  • Winners Signature
2nd Place
  • $20 PSN / XBL / Nintendo Gift Card or PayPal cash equivalent
  • 2 Bonus, Non-Duplicate Universal Gaming Cards
  • Coloured Username for 2 weeks
  • 2nd Place Signature
3rd Place
  • $10 PSN / XBL / Nintendo Gift Card or PayPal cash equivalent
  • 1 Bonus, Non-Duplicate Universal Gaming Card
  • Coloured Username for 1 week
  • 3rd Place Signature

  • 1 week coloured username for 6 points (can not be stacked)

All of our Summer Meltdown 2018 activities will be hosted in the Contests & Events forum.

We also have some rules and regulations in place:
  • You must have at least 25 posts to receive a cash prize. Spamming to hit this requirement will result in disqualification and forfeit of receiving any prizes.
  • Any evident signs of cheating or manipulation by any user during this event may result in immediate disqualification and forfeit of any prize you may have been eligible for.
  • Staff may compete and earn points, but may not be eligible for cash prizes.

$30 PSN card would be pretty nice for picking up some DLC for a couple of games, but do I want to put in the effort of trying to get first place? :thinking:

Nah, I'd only use the money to buy some DLC for games. I wouldn't need it to buy any new games.

Though I'm seeing that Horizon Zero Dawn physical copy in the Prize Pool, and that's not a game I'm willing to spend my own money on, so maybe...

Alright so although I do have a paypal account I have no idea how to receive money as I just use it for ebay and sites I dont want to enter my credit/debit card in to, if they don't support Amazon Pay.
