A very common occurrence in platformers alike - you run at a wall, and are immediately met with "oof!" or "ouch!"

(okay yes that last one was more death than bonk but I couldn't find one of just a bonk)

Ah yes the Lei throw that I believe is still a thing in every game since with walls if he's close enough. XD

Can't really think of any others at the moment, think there's one with Luigi but it's nothing special just bumping into a wall or I might be remembering wrong, don't know what game either.

I think there's a similar thing in the Enter the Dragonfly start screen as well Hmm

Sort of. In that game Spyro head butts an enemy chasing a dragonfly which throws them into a gong in the background, so I don't know if I'd consider it an actual bonk.
