when signing up for this forum, the avatar rules state the following:
Quote:The maximum dimensions for avatars are: 500x500 pixels.
The maximum file size for avatars is 50 KB.
i think this is perhaps in error? while i have no issue with the 500x500 size, i'd say a vast majority of images that size are going to be bigger than 50kb. is there a possibility of increasing the filesize to match the dimensions? would anywhere around 400kb be fairer?

I've increased the file size to 500kb. Hopefully this makes it better for uploading avatars, especially since the 500x500 dimension limit was made that high simply to avoid issues of avatars being flagged as too big (in terms of pixels) to be uploaded, but at the time when that change got made nobody had ran into issues with file size so it had never occurred to me to change it.
