Spotify Wrapped/Your (Top) Songs of 2024 - Moonface - Dec 5th, 2024

I just saw that my Spotify Wrapped for this year is available, so time for the annual thread of sharing what yours looked like or if you don't use Spotify, what your top songs were either as determined by another service or just by your own tastes. ^_^
  • Total minutes listened: 11,750 (top 29% worldwide)
  • Biggest listening day: August 23 (130 minutes)
  • Total songs played: 751

  • Most played song: Breathing - Yellowcard (played 31 times)
  • Top 5 songs:
    1. Breathing - Yellowcard
    2. Forty Six & 2 - Tool
    3. Going Through Changes - Army Of Me
    4. Right Side Of The Bed - Atreyu
    5. Whiskey In The Jar - Metallica

  • Music tastes throughout the year:
    • March - Hacker Synthesizer Phase (Tekken, Daniel Olsen, and Stewart Copeland)
    • September - Funny Permanent Wave Rock (Metallica, Disturbed, and Versus The World)
    • October - Mallgoth Rock Out Nu Metal (Deftones, Linkin Park, and Limp Bizkit)

  • Total artists listened to: 229
  • Most played artist: Tool (Longest streak: 6 days / Time listened: 883 minutes / Top 4% of listeners)
  • Top 5 artists:
    1. Tool
    2. Linkin Park
    3. Deftones
    4. Tekken Project
    5. Kings of Leon

My artist message was from Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, so I guess Tool didn't care to record one this year? XD
Also because I remembered for once you can actually share playlists, this is what ended up being mine that Spotify made for my top 100 songs: Spotify | Moonface's Top Songs of 2024 Playlist

I don't get why some of the songs in that list are showing as not liked by me when I know they are in my liked songs. Hmm

RE: Spotify Wrapped/Your (Top) Songs of 2024 - Mr EliteL - Dec 8th, 2024

I'll do my usual list of only Top 5 songs and artists because I'll never use Spotify, nor iTunes anymore as that did have some statistics at least for top played songs (in total), so I could find new songs in there somewhere, or maybe they do indeed have something for other stats now, I don't know.

Anyway.

Top 5 Artists:

1. Seventh Wonder
2. Leah
3. Kamelot
4. Infinite & Divine
5. Delain

Top 5 Songs:

1. Under A Clear Blue Sky - Seventh Wonder
2. Line of Fire - Heartwind
3. We Are One - Infinite & Divine
4. III Ways To Epica - Kamelot
5. Archangel - Leah

Very similar to last year's really, just sticking with what I like most. The biggest difference being the amount of times I listened to Under A Clear Blue Sky over anything else, 2-4 in top songs being usual stuff, then Archangel being a new release I listened to that a lot once I bought the album which was very late into the year but feel it was enough to get into my Top 5. Delain reached my Top 5 Artists because of a single-artist playlist I made, also for Leah too but as her new album released this year as well that took priority during these last couple months and weeks.

I forget, are all the songs you listen to ones you actually own EL or do you use something like YouTube? Unsure

RE: Spotify Wrapped/Your (Top) Songs of 2024 - Mr EliteL - Dec 13th, 2024

The songs are ones that I own, yes, played either on my laptop as I either rip from the CD or if I bought from Amazon and the album has an Autorip I download from Amazon Music, and also listen on my phone or my mp3 player.

I do have a YouTube recap and here's a summary image of that:

Now, first off they use a very strange image for LEAH, I thought it was something completely unrelated to what I've known from her, but apparently that Cave Dance has been uploaded on to her YT account, and that wasn't the song I was listening to.
Girls Aloud, I can explain, well the top 5 songs part can, I really like that particular song by them, and I don't mind them as a group, I just haven't bought any of their music.
Surprised Linkin Park and Steps got in my top 5 artists but I suppose I just didn't listen to much else enough, because I don't remember actually putting on their music that often, like for Steps it was just two songs, and it was extremely rare that I did this year.
Oh and the top 5 song, yeah...I, do indeed, Believe In Joe Hendry. ROFL

RE: Spotify Wrapped/Your (Top) Songs of 2024 - Moonface - Dec 15th, 2024

How did you come across the Joe Hendry song? I don't think I ever brought it up to you and I know you don't really follow wrestling nowadays so I'm interested how you came across it. XD

RE: Spotify Wrapped/Your (Top) Songs of 2024 - Mr EliteL - Dec 16th, 2024

I sort of been keeping up with stuff, watching a video here and there of clips that are posted of a recent event/show, though I haven't seen much recently. Mostly just about the Bloodline storyline after Wrestlemania, although it's been quite dull even with Roman returning. Also follow WrestleTalk, though only drop into their videos and then out again here and there, it might've been them that introduced me to Joe Hendry, that he was going to show up at WWE/NXT, wondered who he was and saw his entrance song video. At first I wasn't sure, then the guitar kicks in, checked some of his actual stuff where he makes strange videos and songs about his opponent which look self-made, then saw the reaction he was getting, especially when he debuted in NXT, also his wrestling though I only watched briefly then decided, damn, this guy needs to be bigger. XD

What an insane wrapped list, but it makes sense if you've been dipping back into WWE content lol

Mine was the least surprising (to me). I've been absolutely burning through those albums all year. Surprised by the listen times a bit, but I suppose 30 minutes every day for like 8 months isn't a whole lot.
