Early Bird or Night Owl? - Moonface - Mar 27th, 2025 It's 7:38pm for me right now, and I'm already feeling like I could go to sleep any second now if I allowed myself to. There was a time though that this would be like the middle of my day. ![]() So, what are you nowadays, an early bird or a night owl? And have you always been that way? If not, do you actually have a preference of what way you'd lean if the choice was entirely up to you and not external things like work schedules or whatever? RE: Early Bird or Night Owl? - Mr EliteL - Mar 27th, 2025 If not getting up for college/uni or my earlier years whilst for work I was damn terrible really at getting up, like after 10AM or even 11AM, actually I think part of that was not having a job between 2012-mid 2015. During college there was Super Smash Bros Brawl and I used to play online way into the early hours, at worst I got to 4AM ![]() ![]() Now I'd say I'm better at getting up, I can be up after 7:30AM though that's rarely, more between 8-9AM, I don't like trying to sleep in those times unless my body decides it needs to and that I allow it. However I do tend to remain in my room (apart from bathroom needs of course) after getting up, so if my family are asked what I'm like they'll probably think I'm lying in bed until 11AM or something because I've been bad at eating breakfast early recently. ![]() For the evening/nights now I prefer to be in bed before 11PM but can stray past that time, though if it gets to 11:30 then yes, I will be off to bed. Work nights (working next day), I'll aim between 10 and 11PM, yeah not much difference if I'm not getting up. ![]() If I got the choice and had no work or anything to basically decide for me hmm...I would like to be more consistent with my beginning of the day, getting up between 7-8AM and going to bed at 10PM. I'm almost there I guess, just not strict enough really and well, that extra lie in is good. Also need to start my days better instead of lingering around. I've already tried scheduling my day, that just hasn't worked so far, also not currently actively trying to change it. RE: Early Bird or Night Owl? - Maniakkid25 - Mar 27th, 2025 I'm a Night Owl. I always have been, and I will be for the foreseeable future. I hate early morning shifts and early morning things in general. I'd rather have to stay up till 4 AM doing something than wake up at 4 AM to do something. Just let me sleep in lol. If I wasn't staying up late because of leaving college/uni work to the last minute every time, then I was up late talking to people on MSN or whatever else because everyone I had on there except for you weren't in our time zone. I remember the rare times my old job would want me to go in at like, 7am because I was covering beers/wines/spirits and it felt like pure hell to me, but nowadays that'll be roughly the time I get up on my days off from work/school. The downside is the Adderall also stifles my appetite so then I'll often just forget to eat breakfast at all. ![]() (Mar 27th, 2025, 03:31 PM)Mr EliteL Wrote:Yeah even without obligations to be up for I think I'd still get up earlier than later. For some reason it feels like my day can be more productive, even if it doesn't turn out to be a productive one. ![]() (Mar 27th, 2025, 05:10 PM)Maniakkid25 Wrote:Me circa pre-2018. Although if I stayed up until 4am nowadays I'd probably be bored shitless because most streamers I watch aren't live after 11pm and the majority of people I could talk to would also be in bed. ![]() |
