Your Top Songs of 2025 (Spotify, YT, etc) - Mr EliteL - Dec 6th, 2025

I got my YouTube recap last night and decided it's time to begin the topic for this year.

I'll do what I usually do and post the top 5 of what I think I've listened to mostly, as I don't use Spotify or iTunes to have an ongoing record of what I have done, still, plus what YouTube has told me in my recap. I usually listen to music on my MP3 player, on my phone at work using headphones or my laptop both on and off YouTube.

Artists/Bands

1- LEAH
2- Seventh Wonder
3- Kamelot
4- Celldweller
5- (can't determine)

Songs

1- Archangel - LEAH
2- I Carry The Blame/Under a Clear Blue Sky - Seventh Wonder
3- Little Stars/Speak to Me - LEAH
4- Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlfie) - Kamelot
5- Until Kingdom Come/Lunar Sanctum - Kamelot

I mentioned earlier in the year I wasn't listening to much, so some of this will of more recent and playlists I generally listen to that include these bands and songs. There's four songs I really like from LEAH's album that came out last year, though Archangel is featured in two playlists where as the other three weren't, but know I replayed the two I included in my top 5 more than the fourth song I enjoy, plus playing the full album as well. Similar with the two Seventh Wonder songs plus listening to the album they're from. The Kamelot songs, I listened to the Fourth Legacy album a number of times this year, Sacrimony I also listened to the album but also watched the music video more recently a number of times too, also as an attempt to get it into the YouTube recap, which I didn't succeed...possibly due to the cut off time maybe but don't know when that was.

5th place for Artists...I really can't think of what it could be, after the top 4 everything else was just whatever I felt like and not focused specifically, so it could be between like 4 or 5 or more different ones.

Alas, here's my foretold recap:

Yeah quite a bit of WWE songs in there, two wrestler themes, two game songs and one PPV song. I also attempted to get a Celldweller song in my top 5, but that failed too but that got Celldweller into my 3rd place among other songs from him.

Not surprised by my top song. Spotify even asked me to guess what it was and that was the one I chose lol. Top Albums is a little whatever because the top two are the only ones I've listened to multiple times this year. I also discovered The Midnight in the later half of this year and anytime I find a new artist I check out their albums so that's why they make up so many spots in that list yet don't really show up much elsewhere in my Wrapped. Had I found them earlier in the year, they would have easily been my Top Artist.

I do wonder if Spotify only counts songs that were fully listened to though or if they just have to appear in a shuffle? I've skipped so many songs this year that if those still get counted it's going to skew a lot of my data. Hmm
