Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth; The whole thing with Dyne is worse than what happened originally and on top of that Square decided to turn him onto a Resident Evil boss. Wtff? smh. Finally made my way out of Corel Prison, and into the desert itself. I've been exploring most of the desert, and found a *snicker* cactaur spot where I have to try and beat them in under a set amount of time using Yuffie. UGH.

Railgrade.

Did a quick scenario that I'd skipped over earlier... getting to the end of this game now!

Genshin Impact

Just dailies and the Fayz Trials event, which is doable but pathetic in how the stupid thing interferes with gameplay too much, making you stop and look for an orb to set off an effect.

Dragon's Dogma 2

Used DL's pawn for a while was fun as we destroy Ogres and Minotaurs better now. Found the Thief village, Nameless Settlement or something and got the extra skill for the vocation. I switched to Fighter and made my Main Pawn a Thief so she can eventually get the Augments Strength Augmentation. She was absolutely nuts with the bog standard three skills, plus the extra skill. We came across a ruined settlement with bandits and whenever I opened a door with a bandit or two inside, my main pawn charged at them every time I just didn't have a chance to do anything.

Another even more hilarious moment was when I returned to Vernworth (capital) I saw an NPC who kept running from me, thought he was to do with the quest in confronting the person who's stalking you but turned out it wasn't. I grabbed him, making my Arisen jump him then a dialogue scene happened with the Arisen standing up but had his back to the NPC talking to him. The NPC was going to stop shadowing us but wanted to know if he could be let free, there was only two options that refused, I chose "Demand Compensation" then refused his gold after that wondering what it was going to do. The NPC chose to fight, and as I had my back to him he got the first few hits in as I couldn't defend properly, then my pawn basically goes "You're fair game now", charged and pushed him away from me then slaughtered him with the finishers we get to do in the game now. XD Really wished I recorded that moment with PS5 capture, darn it.

Sayonara Wild Hearts (PC)
Played three levels of this in class on Monday as part of our lesson, and I'm strongly considering buying this at some point even though it's short and I've seen the whole game just because it was really fun, plus the music is absolutely stellar!

Tomb Raider III Remastered (PS5)
The more I'm playing of this the more it's becoming one of my favourite of the three original games. TR2 was always the one I thought was the best but having played that again fully before starting this one it might actually be the weakest entry because of the emphasis on combat which is not what these games were built for. Currently I'm on the Madubu Gorge level and dang, it is definitely my favourite level of the game so far. I wish the series had done more with levels using branching paths because it's actually really cool in the few levels that use it, especially for giving a greater challenge to players without locking out more casual players who don't want to be pushed so hard. However, I haven't done the London levels yet which are notorious for a variety of reasons, so I'm sure when I get to those my views are going to drastically change. ROFL

Stardew Valley (PC)
Just got my pickaxe upgraded to copper, and otherwise I haven't been doing much except mining and grabbing Salmonberries or other wild resources to sell or collect. The only farming I'm doing is the random wild seeds I find or if I get any other seeds from other tasks, but otherwise I've largely been ignoring that side of the game which is funny when the game is meant to be about building up a farm. LOL

FTL: Faster than Light

An old favourite of mine, that I come back to sometimes Tongue . This time, I'm using the Crystal A cruiser, which is quite a good ship, due to its 4-strong starting crew, which features two of the Crystal aliens (some of the strongest fighters in the game).

It's going decently well so far: at the halfway point, I have three shield bubbles (which I'll need against the more powerful ship). Could do with a Cloaking system or a Drone Control for those pesky missiles, though - since they can get through shields...

Cassette Beasts (PC - Remote Play):
Been playing this with a friend online cuz the game allows remote play of your NPC friend character (or the main character, if you so wish to have control). This is a fantastic video game full of charm and inspiration and it really highlights a lot of modern-day Pokémon's failures. Highly recommend if you love the concept of Pokémon but are tired of the same song and dance.

LEGOLAND

An old park-building game that I had before RollerCoaster Tycoon. My sister and I tried to resurrect it, and we got into the main menu... but then it crashed before we could get into the actual game!

(At least LEGO Racers worked, though - so that's the last game I was actually able to play Tongue )

Eternal Sonata

So, this game contains the single most horrifying thing I've seen in a long time: a dungeon with not 1, not 2, but 5 save points! THESE DEVS KNEW! THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING! The devs knew that people were going to get their asses lost, and when you see the map of the place, it's very easy to see why people will get lost!

Tunic (PS4)

This game is... very mediocre so far. Leaves a LOT to be desired. Expected much better from it, pretty disappointing so far.

The Last of Us Part II": A gripping narrative intertwining themes of revenge, loss, and redemption in a post-apocalyptic world. The gameplay seamlessly blends stealth, action, and exploration, creating an immersive experience. Visually stunning with meticulously crafted environments and character animations. Despite some divisive narrative choices, it's a masterclass in storytelling and game design, leaving a lasting emotional impact on players.

Dragon's Dogma 2

After finally finding the Finder's Token after three resets back to my Last Inn Checkpoint, I move along with the Sphinx Riddles quest, find her second location and get the task for delivering a fragile pottery to some guy. On the way I had already defeated two Minotaurs and a Chimera that would've been in the way plus a bunch of Knackers before moving the pottery, then continue on. Saw some more Knackers to the left but thought I'd be fine as we were far away from them, but one got aggro'd as I was making my way down this cliff and it knocks me off a ledge, leaving the pottery still intact still on the ledge. The knacker dies from my pawns but I find the pottery must've gotten destroyed in the chaos, so restart hoping it saved before the Knacker attacked. It saved after it died. FUCKING AUTO-SAVE WHY DID SAVE ON A SINGLE KNACKER ENCOUNTER?!?! I didn't stay at an Inn at all between this so now I have to start all over again before the Finder's Token. There's a trophy achievement for the Sphinx riddles being completed that's why I'm doing this but FUCK the Auto-Save screwing me over.

Tunic (PS4)

Finished up the platinum for the game. In the end my opinion on the game didn't really change at all. I was expecting much better and this game just disappointed me on nearly every aspect of it. A few nice things sprinkled here and there, but overall just drowned in a sea of mediocrity. Easy platinum at least.

Sword of the Vagrant (PS4)

Next up on my list of PS4 games to start hacking through before Stellar Blade releases. So far enjoying it a lot. The only complaint I have so far is about one of the bosses I've fought that I thought was kind of dumb, but other than that smooth sailing so far. Graphics and game play remind me a lot of Vanillaware games, which is a huge plus. Hopefully I'll still feel good about this one by the end of it.

Railgrade

After about six months, I've finally completed this game. It was a favourite of mine, since it combined both trains and puzzles (both things that I love).

I'm sure I'll be back at some point to check out the user-made content - but for now, I'd best get back to my other games!

Sword of the Vagrant (PS4)

Decided to make this one of the games I was going to squeeze in before Stellar Blade. A fairly short Vanillaware-like game. Labeled as a metriodvania, but I didn't really see it. There was no backtracking needed and no upgrades that allowed you to explore areas of maps previously walled off by needing them. It really reminded me of Vanillaware games like Muramasa. Definitely felt like the developers of this took a lot of inspiration from them, which is definitely not a bad thing. I enjoyed the game a lot, only had a couple of minor complaints here and there. Overall a very nice little play through and pretty quick and easily platinum.

Golden Sun (NS)

Finished up my playthrough of this. Still love the game just as much as the first time I played it. Going to take a break before I start up the second game though. Going to go back to Bravely Default II and probably play through Kirby and the Forgotten Land first.

Neat! Makes me glad I pointed out the game to you. ^_^

Stardew Valley (PC)
I'm just about to get into Year 2, and I'm hoping to start putting together an actual farm layout since I spent most of Year 1 doing everything but farming. ROFL

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance (PC)
Actually a good daily run seed for today. The past few have been so dull I've rarely bothered to finish them.
