RE: PlayStation 5 - Future of Gaming Showcase - queenzelda - Jun 12th, 2020

My thoughts on the following;

Kena: Bridge of Spirits = Pikmin
Astro's Playroom = Super Mario Odyssey 2.1
Bugsnax = SPoRE 2.1

Your welcome.

RE: PlayStation 5 - Future of Gaming Showcase - Dragon Lord - Jun 13th, 2020

Goodbye Volcano High was such a shit reveal that I almost went out and bought an Xbox after seeing it. Bugsnax is also a complete waste of money, time and creative effort.

Thank god the Demon's Souls Remake announcement was there to save this presentation.

RE: PlayStation 5 - Future of Gaming Showcase - Moonface - Jun 14th, 2020

Bugsnax was the only game that felt cringe to me, and I think it's because it was the only game to present itself like the audience was made up of children when everything else had at least been presented with the idea of a general audience of multiple ages rather than any particular age group. It was what I'd dub the Wonderbook moment of the whole thing.

Other than that no other game was presented in a way that completely turned me off what I was seeing, although some didn't do a good job of telling me what exactly the game was going to be, particularly with how they would play. GVH for example could be like Night in the Woods or just some visual novel type thing, and the story could have something good to say like NitW did but the trailer doesn't answer if it will or not because it was vague enough to go either way.
