The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel | Discussion Thread
Return to Hyrule - and the skies above - in this first look at gameplay for the Sequel to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, planned for release on Nintendo Switch in 2022.

RE: Nintendo Direct E3 2021 - Moonface - Jun 15th, 2021

Just give me that Breath of the Wild sequel news and I'm going home happy.

RE: Nintendo Direct E3 2021 - Mr EliteL - Jun 15th, 2021

Nintendo not spending ages on one or two games to take up lots of screen time and getting numerous stuff out in less than 40 mins, damn.

Kazuya in Smash is nuts. Thought LiS for Switch was going to get a full 2D animated version for a second. Nice to see a new Worms game turn up for Switch. Very interested in Mario Party Superstars, possibly Metroid Dread too but am impressed how that game looks. Cool for Advance Wars to get a remake(s) it seems. A LoZ Game & Watch to celebrate the 35th anniversary, OK then. Looks neat at least.

RE: Nintendo @ E3 2021 - Moonface - Jun 15th, 2021

A Game & Watch for Zelda's 35th Anniversary seems rather lackluster and I would have liked there to be something bigger for the milestone than what Nintendo have been doing. But I got another look at BotW2 so I'm happy. Tongue

Surprised that no Pokemon or Animal Crossing was in this.

Overall a pretty decent presentation, but I think Xbox had a far better presentation overall.

RE: Nintendo @ E3 2021 - Dragon Lord - Jun 15th, 2021

Nothing really good here. Advanced Wars 1 + 2 Remake kind of interesting, but remakes of Fire Emblem 7, 8, 9 or 10 would have been a thousand times more exciting.

Was hoping Nintendo would break the cycle of this E3 being overall a huge stinker, but nope. All the hype of E3 was blown on the first day with Elden Ring, and it's been rapidly downhill from there with the exception of Final Fantasy Origin.

EDIT: After watching the trailer for Astria Ascending, it looks like that might be the lone redeeming factor of this Direct. Looks like it could be a decent game. Glad to know it's coming to PS4/PS5 as well, so I can just pick it up there instead.

Advanced Wars remakes would be more appealing if the new graphic style was literal garbage. Might skip them just because of how ugly they are.

RE: Nintendo @ E3 2021 - Moonface - Jun 16th, 2021

Just realised there was only one actual new game announced which was Metroid Dread. Any other games are either ports or just some form of a remaster, or if they are new such as Rabbids or SMT V we already knew about them before this Direct.
