Well it kinda like using the actual minecraft jar if you don't put a server in there it'll automatically generate one.

So, after much exploring and fiddling, it turns out that due to external factors, I cannot access the server from the Xbox version, which is the only version freely available via Xbox Game Pass. As the game is $27 base (?!), I refuse to spend that much money on a game I despise with a firey passion. For anyone curious how it's going so far, I'm the only one who didn't die and both Yuri and Shira died almost back to back, and in the process discovered that we were in hardcore when before that point we had been playing under the idea we were not in hardcore.
@ Maniakkid25: I know the Java version used to offer a demo but I don't know if that's still the case. Although it don't know if the demo could use multiplayer.
As a note to everyone, be aware you need the Java version of the game. Bedrock will not be compatible.
