AGDQ 2025 Starts Today
As a reminder because I myself forgot until this moment, Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 starts today. You can see the current run and what's coming up here: https://gamesdonequick.com/schedule/52

Pretty banger start to the event for me with Astro Bot, Wind Waker, and Tomb Raider 2013 all being run back-to-back. I definitely want to catch the Astro Bot run to see what tech people have already found for that game. ^_^

It's been really good so far from what I have watched. Really really loving the unique run content lately, too. Makes it more interesting to tune into when it's something you really haven't seen or even thought of before is being shown, like the SMB Any% RTA Race, where all the stream feeds are overlayed on each other to show how close they all are; or even the NSMB Any% done on a fucking piano WHILE PLAYING THE MUSIC FOR THE GAME ON SAID PIANO! Like, how does one even conceive of such thing to run?!

So I thought the whole run was done with just the piano, but this run was actually done with the runner controlling the game with their head and foot, and the piano was just used to play the soundtrack. We missed the opening of the run where the runner explains they have Joy-Cons attached to their head that function as the D-Pad via motion sensing, and another Joy-Con attached to their foot that controls running and jumping. Knowing that it was being controlled that way actually makes that run way more impressive to me now than before.

Also, since AGDQ is over now, the final total raised for charity was over $2,556,305. Including this total, GDQ has now raised over 54 million dollars for charities since starting 15 years ago, with over 26 million dollars going towards the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Source
