That whole thing is such a trainwreck. That last image you posted is now a pop-up image on their website that you see when you land on it. Rolleyes

Anyway, that crap aside, behold this majestic creature:

Yes, this is a Fuecoco wearing a Taco costume for Halloween.

RE: Game Merchandise - Moonface - Oct 2nd, 2023

Apparently next week is when Gaming Heads will issue refunds in full, so it'll be interesting to see if they do. It definitely doesn't look like sending the mob to Sony's *ahem* sorry, SONY PlayStation's door resulted in anything except being a red flag for other companies to steer as clear as possible from doing business with GH.

That Fuecoco plush is adorable btw. I love the idea of using a taco as a cape. LOL
I think this year is pretty weak overall though for Halloween merch from The Pokémon Center. I just looked through the rest of their catalogue and unless you like clothes there really isn't much to look at. Some of the statues look so bad I'd be convinced it was some shady knock off company making products illegally to flog on Wish or something. Errm
This was like the only thing I saw that I liked the look of: https://www.pokemoncenter.com/product/710-97051/pichu-halloween-garden-statue

Oh holy heck this is a nice statue. I wish I knew what it was made of so I can better judge the high price point for it though: Wake Studio - Crash Bandicoot Warped Statue | Statue Corp

Must... resist... the urge... to buy one... Yikes

Yeah the fact that it's not F4F doing it is wild. The detail level is off the charts!

Looking into them more, they're a pretty damn new company, just starting out in April this year. Their About Me section is the most AI generated PR I've seen in a hot minute. They have a private Facebook group, but their Instagram shows them with at least in-studio production making for the figures. They seem to be all Resin figures, too.

RE: Game Merchandise - Moonface - Dec 31st, 2023

Hmmm, while being made of resin explains the price point I'd need to know if they've released products before this Crash 3 one and how those were in terms of quality and stuff if I was going to spend $600 on this. Trouble is, the website I linked to are not the people who make the statue; they're just a distributor. I tried searching for Wake Studio and all I get is results for their statues from various third party vendors and it seems nothing has been released yet as they're all new products, so there's no way to verify the quality.

The best I got was a Reddit thread about the TotK statue by Wake Studio and the comments were pointing out a ton of flaws in the statue, including certain elements using BotW designs instead of the upgraded TotK design. I haven't closely looked at that Crash figure yet to spot any issues but it doesn't instill confidence in me to see another statue having a lack of attention to detail that no respectable company should overlook.

Yeah best not to jump the gun here after you saw that thread about the Totk statue. Although that image of the Crash statue does make it look really good, better to wait for now. Perhaps they're not..."big" enough to have their own website but surely that's one of the first things they'd make sure to have instead of relying on third party vendors.

Okay this might be one of my favorite gaming related products that adapts something into a usable household item: Mareep Handy Mop

RE: Game Merchandise - ShiraNoMai - May 30th, 2024

I WANT IT! Nooo

RE: Game Merchandise - Moonface - Jul 31st, 2024

Holy balls that's a gorgeous design! I would never ever use this though and I will look down on anyone who would... Glare

RE: Game Merchandise - ShiraNoMai - Aug 2nd, 2024

Naw, they make some of these specially for hanging on walls. I'm actually surprised they didn't make a surfboard out of it.

It does look really nice though. Grin

Duh, I didn't even think that people do just hang skateboard decks as decoration and that not every single deck is made with the intent of skate usage. Rolleyes
As for not making a surfboard of it, those things are pretty big so it would limit how many people would buy one from lack of space to display it and shipping costs would probably be really high for the size of a surfboard.

RE: Game Merchandise - Moonface - Aug 5th, 2024

Didn't really plan to double post so quickly but I know @Maniakkid25 may be interested in this and wanted to share this before it ends. There's a crowdfunding campaign about to end for a book covering the oral history of Guitar Hero, Rock Band and the music game boom: https://vol.co/collections/guitar-hero

RE: Game Merchandise - Maniakkid25 - Aug 5th, 2024

Yeah, that's cool and all, but it's not exactly on my "must have" list of things. Thanks for the thought, but I'll pass on it. Especially at 80 dollars, jesus.

$80 is for the Deluxe Edition; the regular book is $60. Hopefully if the book gets copies outside of the Kickstarter it'll be a little cheaper or there'll be enough that you might be able to wait for it to go on a sale at a price more enticing to you.

Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo | Announcement Trailer

This is the sort of thing I'd expect to see on April Fools with how out of the blue this is. XD

I love some of the comments on the trailer:

Quote:Imagine the sheer horror of trying to get five more minutes of sleep, only to be disturbed by the guardian music.
Quote:What this clock needs: Navi. HELLO. HEY. HEY. LISTEN. HELLO. LISTEN. HEY. HEY. LISTEN.
Quote:"I wish Nintendo would announce new hardware"
Monkey Paw curls

*just saw the price*
$100?! Shock
