Final Fantasy XVI releases for PS5 in Summer 2023. RE: State of Play - June 2, 2022 - Dragon Lord - Jun 3rd, 2022 Pretty garbage overall aside from the FFXVI trailer and the announcement that Tunic is finally going to come to PS4/PS5. RE: State of Play - June 2, 2022 - Moonface - Jun 3rd, 2022 I thought the overall presentation was decent, but my one big gripe with it is there wasn't a single new first party announcement in it. All we got from Sony was an update and a PC port, and the rest was all third party. I expected Sony to close with something after FF16 but then it just ended, and as good as that game looked I walked away feeling like the show had lacked something, and when I wrote this thread up I realised what was missing was any reason from Sony themselves to care about the PS5. RE: State of Play - June 2, 2022 - ShiraNoMai - Jun 6th, 2022 The middle half had more intriguing things for me than either the beginning or end. Don't get me wrong, RE4 remake can be cool, and I'm fully on board with FFXVI's showcase. But I'm really looking forward to Stray, and Rollerdome is a neat concept in that Jet Set Radio meets Rocket League kind of way. Callisto Protocol is also just right up that horror alley of mine. RE: State of Play - June 2, 2022 - Moonface - Jun 6th, 2022 Callisto Protocol went from something I was really excited for to being a little wary about now. I saw that the game is potentially going to have a Season Pass, which makes no sense for a single player game. I'm hoping maybe it's a leftover from when the game was still set within the PUBG universe. RE: State of Play - June 2, 2022 - Dragon Lord - Jun 7th, 2022 After checking out Eternights more, it looks like it has potential as long as it doesn't end up just being an ARPG clone of Persona. I know it has previous Persona devs working on it, so I'm slightly worried about that. If it can establish its own identity, it could potentially be good. RE: State of Play - June 2, 2022 - Mr EliteL - Jun 8th, 2022 There isn't anything for me really from what I read here that I'd be interested in. Not so much Horizon as I don't have that, Street Fighter 6 I'll follow through someone I watch but nothing more, Final Fantasy XVI looks good there, but that's about it. |
