I am Greendog

Hello folks, I am Greendog. You know, the character from the video game of the same name. A beached surfer dude, dude. But I'm not actually a character from a video game, nor a surfer dude. I am a real human being, doing.

I have been playing video games ever since I owned a Commodore Vic 20 and was given magazines that I could copy code from and type it into the computer to make a game. And then I got a Sega Mega Drive. Probably a copy of Greendog too. And the rest is history, as they say.

Hello and welcome to UG, Greendog. I had to look up the Green Dog game as I never game across it before, my early gaming years were Atari 2600 only, me and my siblings happened to be content with just that and a few games before we moved to PS1 and PC, I eventually got a Gameboy Advance/GameCube and been gaming since, my siblings don't play anymore.

That Green Dog game looks to be your most passionate game as you've named yourself after it, and you seem to be still playing to this day, such commendable loyalty. I couldn't say that about any Atari game for myself, nor PS1 or GBA game. Perhaps you do still dip back to the first console you played Green Dog on, or do you play a PC version of it, as I've just seen it can be downloaded and played for free?

Actually, I owned it for the Mega Drive but found it a tough game. It don't even recall it being that good of a game and I don't really play it today. When I had to pick a username, I wanted to name myself after a videogame character, so decided on something obscure enough that nobody would have grabbed the name already. 🙃

Oh, alright then. I just saw your "Currently Playing" as Greendog and assumed you were. Some older games were pretty tough so I can understand slightly as you found it that way.

Apologies for the late welcome; I've been really unwell this past week and it's been hard to do much.

Have you ever played any other surfer themed games or is Greendog been the only one despite how notable it is for you?
