Here, in the U. S., they call it the Last Apprentice series by Joseph Delaney. In the U. K., they call it the Wardstone Chronicles. You see Alice a lot during the whole series. You see Alice and Jenny a lot during the Starblade trilogy by Joseph Delaney, which is kind of a sequel to the whole Last Apprentice series.
