Hell Is Us seems to be the new, intriguing thing to keep an eye on. Ghost of Yotei definitely stole the show though, glad that's been cooking in the background.

State of Play Returns Tomorrow, February 12
A new State of Play has been announced for tomorrow, lasting for approximately 40 minutes and providing news and updates on upcoming PS5 games. No further details of the content were given.
The presentation airs tomorrow, February 12 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET | 10pm GMT on YouTube and Twitch, and will be broadcast in English and Japanese.
No idea what to expect (not that it's ever a good idea to have too many expectations from a SoP) but hopefully there's something that catches my eye.

I missed the State of Play yesterday, but didn't seem much of interest in there for me anyway. Sonic Racing looked alright but I doubt I'll bother, that trailer for WWE 2k25 was quite bad, made the game look like it moves in slow motion. Good god the animation on Snake lifting his rocket launcher near the end of the Snake Eater trailer was also bad, though I was never aware of Snake vs Monkey was even a thing, and it's "back", huh.

*pokes head in* I heard there was Digimon, and came rushing in.
No, but seriously, nice to randomly stumble on a new Digimon game. I'll actually probably get it on PS5, get some use out of the thing. Finally, something to look forward to in 2025!
@ Mr EliteL Yeah, the Snake Vs. Monkey thing was a mini-game in the original MGS 3 where you had to find and capture the Ape Escape monkeys. It was ridiculous, and completing it actually rewarded you with a camo set and mask you could wear in the game, statted and everything! It was weird, as was most of the easter eggs in that game, so I can't wait to see what deranged direction Konami takes the game without Hideo Kojima at the helm.

I'm slightly excited for Sonic Racing only because I adore Transformed, and if this game is something more like that than what the Sonic racing games have been since Transformed released there's a high chance I'd grab it. Transformed to me is one of the top kart racers out there.
WWE 2K25 I'll agree looked very oddly slow-mo, and I don't know if that's how the game actually is or the speed is some shit way of trying to showcase the animations in trailers.
Snake lifting the rocket launcher seemed fine to me; it's almost 1:1 with the original even down to lifting it to the wrong eye.

That's funny to learn what that minigame actually entailed, because it's just Ape Escape but in MGS. On the flip side, Ape Escape 3 has a minigame called Mesal Gear Solid, where you play as a monkey trying to find Snake and the gameplay is literally just MGS but in Ape Escape. I've played the latter, and funnily enough I had never played a MGS game beforehand.
For things that caught my eye in this SoP, The Midnight Walk looks promising. I love the art style for it, and if it turns out to be good I'll likely pick it up.
Lies of P DLC finally getting shown was nice, and it'll be a good reason to return to that game and get the rest of the trophies and endings I didn't do originally.
Days Gone Remastered just screams of "who asked for this?". The new horde mode is really the only thing worth a damn about it, and had that mode been added closer to when the game had come out I'd probably boot it up again to play it, but I do not care to play Days Gone again in any capacity 5+ years after it launched and I would expect more people than not would be in the same boat.
Blue Prince could be cool if the puzzles are done well. Depends if the puzzles ever change or not; I'm always iffy buying a puzzle game because replaying one is unlikely for me due to knowing the answers to the puzzles already.
I hope Saros addresses the few issues Returnal had, particularly with run length and no real progression system which made dying extremely punishing. I've considered getting Returnal a few times but I just don't want to spend hours on a run, even if I was unlocking stuff.

If there's a demo for Sonic Racing I'll try and see if it's like Transformed, if so my interest will increase then.
The thing with Snake's arm, you probably did see it but it's his upper arm snapping into place, that needs to be a smoother animation there for those frames, like his arm wasn't in the right position all along but they corrected it only then and not before. Oof. Everything else in the trailer was fine or perhaps wasn't as easily noticeable as that was.
Ah so Ape Escape also did something with MGS in their game too, alrighty.

I had to replay that part of the video multiple times just now to even begin to catch when his arm does it, and even then it was so quick I had to use slow-mo to get a better view of it. XD

No, but seriously, nice to randomly stumble on a new Digimon game. I'll actually probably get it on PS5, get some use out of the thing. Finally, something to look forward to in 2025! For you and anyone else interested in the new Digimon game, Bandai have announced that more news will be coming on March 20th at Digimon Con: https://digimon.net/special/digimoncon/en/
Missed opportunity to call it DigiCon if you ask me...
