I don't know why but the second song of this album got into my head at work this morning despite not having listened to this games OST in months and I even forgot what the game was even called to know what to look up so I could listen to it.
I need to check out the rest of the OST now that the game is fully out.

To Defy the Laws of Tradition -- Primus

A classic Primus track, both musically and lyrically witty. And unlike most of Primus' famous songs, this one actually has a point to make! The verses outline various weird things we as westerners do ("what if Christmas didn't come this year?", "Why do brides wear virgin white?", stuff like that), and drives the point home with the chorus of "to defy the laws of tradition/is a crusade only of the brave!" A very fitting song to begin Primus' career with; this is the first song off their first studio album, and here they are dismantling the very foundation of rock and metal music with their very unique sound.

Also, Schoolhouse Rock callout in the middle of the song is such a wild thing to say about a studio recording lol!

No idea why but I'm just perusing through various tracks of the OG Ratchet & Clank trilogy from the PS2. I miss how good the soundtrack for this series used to be before it switched to a more generic orchestral sound.

A video about Hornby's financial situation.

It's not good. Apart from the COVID years (when everyone was stuck at home, and had more time to spend with model trains), they've been losing money year on year.

I do hope we don't lose them. They're by far the biggest name in model trains in the UK - so, losing them would be a massive blow to the industry as a whole!

Both of you made me question what thread this was because of how they're both videos and it's rare someone shares those as being listened to rather than watched. Unless one or both of you did accidentally come to the wrong thread.

@Kyng: It's the first I'm hearing of it, but I can't say I'm surprised about hearing Hornby isn't doing well. I had a trainset growing up, but I don't know anyone else who ever had one apart from you. When I was growing up though computers weren't the staple thing they are now in homes, so I'd assume those and other tech staples such as smart phones have taken away the minority of kids that would have found a trainset appealing in the first place. Not that I expect this contributes too, but train simulator games are a much easier and cheaper way to get into the hobby of trains, particularly if you're more into the driving/simulation side of it. I feel a physical trainset would be more appealing to create your own lines and such, but if a game exists that offers that too there wouldn't be much a physical trainset could offer that would hook the kids who are growing up in a more tech-focused world.

Played these three albums in the order listed. The first two I haven't checked out before, and I finished Monsters on my drive to work this morning so just threw on Endless Summer for my drive home. Maybe some day I'll listen to something by not The Midnight again but there's something about their music/sound that scratches a certain itch of mine nothing else in my library really provides.

I can't speak for Kyng, although I did mistakenly post that in here. I think when I read Kyng's post when he put "A video" that overwrote in my head of being in the Listened To thread, made me believe I was in the Last Watched thread.
