It's 7:38pm for me right now, and I'm already feeling like I could go to sleep any second now if I allowed myself to. There was a time though that this would be like the middle of my day.
So, what are you nowadays, an early bird or a night owl? And have you always been that way? If not, do you actually have a preference of what way you'd lean if the choice was entirely up to you and not external things like work schedules or whatever?

If not getting up for college/uni or my earlier years whilst for work I was damn terrible really at getting up, like after 10AM or even 11AM, actually I think part of that was not having a job between 2012-mid 2015. During college there was Super Smash Bros Brawl and I used to play online way into the early hours, at worst I got to 4AM Though I have never done an all-nighter but for college or Uni I was working on projects till 5AM or something, but still needed like an hour or so of sleep regardless of if I had finished or not, though that happened rarely, up till 2AM was more often working on a project. So in a way I was a night owl for time but there had to be a reason for it but those were enjoyment (yes even if there was bad lag in Brawl I persisted), and for my piss poor time management/neglect for projects.
Now I'd say I'm better at getting up, I can be up after 7:30AM though that's rarely, more between 8-9AM, I don't like trying to sleep in those times unless my body decides it needs to and that I allow it. However I do tend to remain in my room (apart from bathroom needs of course) after getting up, so if my family are asked what I'm like they'll probably think I'm lying in bed until 11AM or something because I've been bad at eating breakfast early recently. Though that's probably also a habit I got from work, I don't like eating before my shift starts (6AM), and usually there's so much that needs to be done before I go on my break which can be between 10:30-12AM depending on how much stock needs to go out or the shopfloor needing a tidy, often the same areas needing a tidy multiple times after I've sorted other areas. Anyway!
For the evening/nights now I prefer to be in bed before 11PM but can stray past that time, though if it gets to 11:30 then yes, I will be off to bed. Work nights (working next day), I'll aim between 10 and 11PM, yeah not much difference if I'm not getting up.
If I got the choice and had no work or anything to basically decide for me hmm...I would like to be more consistent with my beginning of the day, getting up between 7-8AM and going to bed at 10PM. I'm almost there I guess, just not strict enough really and well, that extra lie in is good. Also need to start my days better instead of lingering around. I've already tried scheduling my day, that just hasn't worked so far, also not currently actively trying to change it.

I'm a Night Owl. I always have been, and I will be for the foreseeable future. I hate early morning shifts and early morning things in general. I'd rather have to stay up till 4 AM doing something than wake up at 4 AM to do something. Just let me sleep in lol.
