Hiya! I just registered and noticed that the "hide your email from public view" or something along those lines - forgot exactly - option is unchecked by default.
Can this please be checked by default? I can't think of any situation in the modern day for a gaming forum where leaving your registration email public is a good, or safe, idea. There will probably be a member registering that may not notice this option and leave it the way it is, meaning their emails would be shown to everyone by default, and I honestly doubt majority of people would feel comfortable with that.

I believe you're referring to the "Hide your email from other members." option? While I don't know off hand if its default setting can be changed, it doesn't mean that your email address is viewable to members if you leave it unchecked. Although poorly worded, it refers to whether other members can send you an email through the board or not, and the email page looks like this (apologies to Maniak for being my guinea pig here but you were the first person I saw that allows members to email you lol).
Otherwise, email addresses used to register are not able to be viewed by anyone except an admin via the Admin CP.

Oh that's a relief! I was worried it meant it would be viewable to all. Thank you for confirming ~

You're welcome! It's definitely not worded well by the software so I may try to find what file contains that and change it to something that better reflects what it actually means.
