I was wondering how they got Carrey to come back for the third movie, so they really did send a script written in gold. That and he said once that he enjoys playing Eggman/Robotnik for his kids, or something like that. I wasn't sure if he would also return for a fourth as well, and it seems to be confirmed he is according to Wikipedia. The title teaser basically also confirmed it as it's using his portrayal too, same with the other two human characters.
