Hunt Down The Freeman was released with the permission of Valve. The problem was the release was such a travesty that its amazing it didn't get pulled down after that. And yet, there are dedicated updaters who are trying to fix this game -- FOR FREE, MIND! They aren't getting paid if you buy the game; all the money goes to Berkan Denizyaran, who was the "director" of the game, and is the sole reason the game ran itself into the ground. He's currently employed at Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Senior Designer.

Wait the guy who made that game works in that position at a company like SIE yet he played some part in that game not turning out well?
I wonder if he had any involvement in Concord?

Given that Concord wasn't a broken, buggy mess haphazardly pasted together with no thought or care behind it, probably not. Legitimately, if you want to see how bad Hunt Down The Freeman was, go watch either TehSnakerer's video on it, or DLJadow's videos (it's in two parts). Both of them are top tier entertainment, and attack the game from two different perspectives. TehSnakerer's video focuses on the story and storytelling of the game, and how it's a terrible Half-Life game; DLJadow focuses on the core gameplay loop and the behind-the-scenes shenanigans that went into making this game.

I know this might be a tough one because you didn't work that day to see it first hand, but I'm curious if your store was busier this year on Christmas Eve than last year or not? I've always worked Christmas Eve and I felt like this year was the busiest it's ever been on that day but I don't know if that was because Hannukah fell on the same day as Christmas and my store has a lot of Jewish customers, or if people overall were just doing more shopping in any store this year.

I don't really keep track of that? Most days are just a blur for me, so it's hard for me to gauge year by year how business is. I'm willing to bet it was more active this year, though I can only speculate as to why.

Ah. For me I notice it easily because my store has frozen and dairy next to each other at the end of the store, with ice cream and dairy being on the same aisle where it'll usually become a mosh pit if we get really busy, so how that aisle is is what I use to tell how busy the store is.

Yes, I've just been stalled out. I want to make the video, but UUUUUUUUUUGH! There are reasons why I'm like ugh, but I don't really want to reveal them at this moment. I'm gonna TRY to have it done this year, because I do like making them, it's just this one became a stumbling block of surprising strength.

I can't even remember what your last rant video was about let alone try and hold you to any allusions you made in it. Although even then I personally wouldn't care if you finish a thing or not because it's your choice what you do/don't do.  I get the concern for it though; one of the streamers I watch on Twitch refuses to leave a game they start unfinished because they know people in chat won't shut the fuck up about it otherwise.

Because DnD has been on my mind since the Discord message you sent earlier today, do you have a favorite map and/or campaign from DnD?

Not really, mainly because I don't play a lot of official campaign settings. The setting I know "best" (i.e. know more than the very basics of) is Forgotten Realms -- which is great, because D&D 5e was written with Forgotten Realms in mind, but I mainly play in homebrew campaign settings, so I don't know a lot of the official stuff.

Ah, I forgot about custom maps/campaigns that people can come up with themselves. Do you (or whoever you play with) ever come up with your own custom stuff or do you find it from some website that lets people share/find it?

I can't draw worth a crap, so I usually steal my maps from DeviantArt or Google Images. There are programs that let you make dungeon maps, and I use those liberally, too. But seriously, I can't draw lol.

From the little experience I have with DnD I wouldn't want to draw a map either, mostly because of trying to figure out the measurements and grids for movement calculations of characters on it. I'd rather use something that gives me the grid measurements and I just draw on top of it so the scaling is right.
