I can't do a summary post right now because I'm out, but I caught a little of the show so far. Lego Horizon Adventures doesn't surprise me given the long rumors about it and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet as I've never really been into the vibe the Lego games bring.

No Room in Hell 2 is interesting but I didn't even know they made a first one. 

Quidditch Champions feels like a response to everyone who wanted quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy. I was expecting it to be a redo of Quidditch World Cup from way back in the PS2 days.

The only thing that interested me was the Palworld update, and even then, I'm kind of meh about it. Should be interesting to see what the update is like at least. I have 0 interest in souls like game, or most of the scary games shown. Most of it was like shooter games?? Or co-op stuff. I usually play other stuff, that wasn't shown at the showcase. (sigh)

Oof, there's so much stuff being shown already I don't know how anyone is expected to actually know half this stuff exists or even look through everything to find stuff they might like the look of. I didn't even go through the Latin or Women showcases yet and there's still another show coming up in 30 minutes. Confused


For things that caught my attention by name alone:
  • The Thing: Remastered excites me but if it doesn't address the gameplay issues (some of which I mention in this thread I recently made) then I don't know whether I'd get it or not. If I did it would have to be on a massive discount because I'm not interested in paying a lot just for better visuals when the gameplay is what actually needed addressing in the game more than anything.

  • Yooka-Laylee getting a remaster seems unnecessary to me but apparently it's fixing some other stuff and adding some things. I wonder if this is being done to bring awareness to the IP back for a potential Yooka-Laylee 2?

  • Get Your Tentacles Off My Waifu only grabbed my eye because of the title and although I didn't watch the trailer I did skip to the end for any platforms and dates, and the key art being a tentacle monster with basically My Little Pony characters in front of it was certainly a choice.
I can't comment how any of the showcases were to watch through but there's certainly a ridiculous range and amount of games being shown across all of them combined. Reiterating on what I said at the start of this post though I think there's just too much coming in back-to-back for a lot of this stuff to get a moment to properly shine for anyone who isn't religiously watching all of the showcases.

Geez, how much stuff are they showing, it's a ridiculous amount, even during the post show there's lots more and there's still the Xbox Showcase and the rest to come. No game has grabbed me yet, although I must admit I like the anime art style of the Battle Suit Aces, definitely makes me think of Gurren Lagann or something similar. Heh, then there's Battle Aces that'll clearly take more attention away from Suit Aces but whatever.
