My parents came to pick me up. Also, took a covid test when I woke up today, and it turns out the thing I caught was, in fact, Covid-19. Fuck me.

Oof. Best things to hope for are that nobody else on your trip caught it and that if you didn't have a vaccine for it recently, that it doesn't fuck you up as badly as it did me the last time I had it. Also RIP to anyone on the plane home who was sat around you I guess.
Speaking of the plane home, what did you do to fill up 9+ hours of time in the sky?

Sleep and search internet intermittenly. The flight sucked because my bottom really started hurting after a while.

Was the internet just included as part of your ticket or did you have to buy it on the flight? I can't remember if it was included on any of my international flights but I feel like if it was I would've used it.
All I remember using on those flights was the entertainment screen in the back of the seat. XD

Oh, Delta just has free wi-fi, at least for SkyMiles members (which is literally just their free log-in service). It's awesome! Didn't have to deal with the entertainment once, because I had Youtube. In fact, rebooking my flight and going with Airfrance was a DOWNGRADE, because they only give free wi-fi for messaging apps!

Dang now I'm remembering that I tried to make a Delta SkyMiles account to get their WiFi and it wouldn't connect to the site so I didn't get to have any WiFi...

I do my best to try and not seek that sort of stuff out too much, to the point that when Twitter was still Twitter I stopped following a lot of accounts because they started to discuss politics too much for my liking but always in a negative light to the point my timeline was just too much negative shit. I'd also say avoid reading about the news on social media sites because 1) sites will make the most click bait shit to get engagement and skew how the news sounds to get kneejerk reaction comments and 2) the comments are normally a dumpster fire because of point 1.

Nothing like looking up at your TV for a moment to see the screen has just suddenly got some weird burnout glitch stuff going on for no reason. And it's our main TV that we use to watch stuff on and play games...

So I was browsing Amazon's Black Friday weekend deals and stumbled onto a company that makes some very much "We have x at home" style products. The best one I saw so far is this one: Soyee Magnetic Blocks - Totally Not Mario Set

If you think it just coasts dangerously close to the sun visually, just scroll down to the image that details each of the blocks provided in the set and you get to see they just didn't even care to rename some of the stuff. Bowser, the Goomba, and the Piranha Plants are just straight up called those exact names!
They also have totally-not-Minecraft sets too which is what first caught my attention, but funnily enough they opted to not name any of the blocks in those sets. They just have the pictures and number of each block the set has. Yet this company thought it would be a good idea to name the totally-not-Mario blocks just to give the Nintendo lawyers more ammunition to use if they see fit to go after them.

I would not dare to be anywhere near that toy set and would hate to own it even as a kid (I hope I wouldn't anyway), but good grief they really didn't try to stay out of a potential issue there.

Work be slightly mad, but now I get a week off because I really had to book time off, what with 90+ hours still left remaining. I was also off for 6 days beforehand too, yeah would've been better to have that time in warmer weather, but I just didn't bother.

i'm debating whether to participate in cyber monday sales or not. i did most of my black friday shopping a week before the day itself (since some stores have sales early), but now.... hm. think i might save a bit just in case holiday sales end up being around the same price, so i don't have that FOMO.

I did my Christmas shopping all at once on Friday, so I'm all set as far as that goes. There's not really anything that interests me right now that's on sale.

the only thing i remotely really care about is new clothing since i'm not done with that yet, but i have the rest of this month to go about doing that, so i don't think i'm necessarily missing out.

Eh, I think the concept of magnetic blocks is fine and is probably the best way to translate the Minecraft block style into real life toys; I just wouldn't want to trust the quality of it when it needs to try and market itself by infringing on multiple copyrights. It's kind of a shame because I'd say that toy would make for a better official Minecraft product than the Lego ones.


Bah, Shira is away for the weekend and I literally don't know what to do with myself. I did almost nothing yesterday and today isn't faring much better. I could literally do anything I want to and the amount of freedom that provides is so overwhelming to the point of just shutting down.
