I can understand that, also I understand making the Pokémon trading cards easier to digest so more people get interested in playing the card game and buying packs to build their own decks, etc. But I played the game back when Toys R Us was still around, and eventually made it to where only kids could play after a while. I used to play the card game back then too. I don't want to get back into the card game when all I want is to open the packs. xD

I completely get you. My entire friend group also just collectively said 'this is shit" and just started collecting rather than playing with the cards. Plus, the art got SO cool over time. Or sometimes, getting the chance to get a holographic, or even a foreign card? So hype. To heck with the game lmao

Yes, I need to find them again. I had a lot of holo Pikachu cards from the days before Nintendo put him on Ozempic. XD

Animal Crossing. Yes, I know there are amiibo cards, but I think trading cards would sell like crazy.

I forgot amiibo cards even exist because I never see them anywhere.
Would trading cards of AC really sell better than the amiibo cards though? From what I can tell on the official website there's a card for every character and the card has a use beyond just being collectible in a way that most AC players probably find appealing.

What if the collectable cards also double as amiibo cards depending on what you pull? There's already blind boxes for Barbie dolls, and other toys. Might as well get Nintendo money by pulling the same sh*t as every other companies.
