Your Favorite Parts of Songs?

Are there any songs you listen to where even if it isn't necessarily your favourite song, there's that one part in it that you really like and can't wait to reach?

Here's mine from a couple of songs that I played recently which gave me the idea for this thread:

• Sinner - Judas Priest | 2:50 - 4:55
  Eek, feels a bit long seeing the time stamps for it now but whatever, I love this part of the song where it slows down a bit and uses a higher pitch for the guitar.
  
  
• Under The Influence - Citizen King | 2:48 - 3:23
  I don't know why, but this part of this song has been ingrained into my memory ever since I heard it as a kid when playing Street Skater 2.

Eh, I'm probably going to only list favourite songs, because they songs usually become my favourite if they happen to have a section I really like. Anything that's not my favourite isn't worth a mention.  Then again I'm going through many of favourite songs and can't think of a moment I actually look forward to, other than the two that come to my immediate mind.

Heartwind - Line of Fire | 2:15 - end

Actually it's more 3:12 to the end that I replay far too often but that's too short and the build up is worth it. I've also replayed the 2:15 to finish many times as well of course, just the 3:12 very end is the icing on the cake so to say.

Imperia - Norway | 3:10 - 3:37

First to note this song is in Norwegian when their other songs are not. Also, the harsh male vocalist is not the main vocalist but he is in this section when she is not, and I don't normally listen to harsh vocals like this unless it happens to be alongside clean vocals I already like. Even so this is my most favourite song by Imperia which seems very strange.  I like to imagine a fight scene during this even though the lyrics during it is (English) "I am free"

There's probably some more I'm not able to think of right now.

Finally listened to both of those parts you shared EL, and after went looking up both artists since I've never heard of either so was curious. Couldn't find much on the first except that Nina had appeared on Eurovision, so I'm curious if that was where you heard of her/Heartwind or not?

For Imperia...another band with little on them but the singer has a Wikipedia entry, and man, her "personal life" section needs way more context given to it because the little information about her daughter is a little bit of a yikes for me. The way it refers to what happened to her daughter as claims rather than anything with actual proof or even a news article attached already feels questionable, but the part where she says she hasn't been in contact with her daughter but has someone spy on her makes it tough for me to not feel there's more to the story than being let on. Her daughter goes no contact at the age of 16, which for me implies she moved out and if that was the earliest she could leave home, makes me question what was going on for her daughter to want to get out as soon as the option is available to her. I hope it isn't actually anything as dire as my mind is making it to be though.



Gonna do a game song instead because I listened to this one today so this part is still in my head:

• Fear - Tekken 4 OST | 2:00 - 2:20
  Maybe one of the least fighting game sounding songs across all of Tekken (and maybe fighting games in general), but this part where the music kinda glitches out a little bit just has something about it that I would love even if I didn't care for the rest of the song around it.
  
  
• The End - C418 (Minecraft OST) | 0:50 - 1:30
  Speaking of glitchy sounding parts in songs, here's another one I adore so much I'll increase the volume whenever I hear this song start playing in the End dimension just so I don't miss this bit. If I were to pick between this and the previous, this is my favourite without a doubt because of how the OG Minecraft theme can be heard during the opening minute of the track, but slightly off key, and then it just gets corrupted into that booming echo of nothingness. It just sets such a vibe of how the End is a dimension of vast areas of nothing and is supposed to feel wrong compared to the other Minecraft dimensions. @ShiraNoMai can confirm how excited I've gotten at times noticing this song play when we're playing together and I don't think she quite gets why I'm so infatuated with this bit of this song.

I didn't know that about either vocalists. YouTube randomly recommended the Heartwind song, I gave it a listen and liked it, but it didn't click immediately as it did the second time I listened like a month or two later, it shot into my imaginary top 10 favourite songs.
About the Imperia one, I haven't been on her page in years. I usually don't tend to read too much into personal life anyway, but that is concerning. All I knew about was 2024 album I haven't listened to yet. Yeesh.

Ah yes, Fear. The strange stage theme, yet quite fits it. Laboratory, experimentation, also with the mist in it too like that is part of the theme.

Did give The End theme a listen. I'm not familiar with the original theme like that but the way you describe it as something different to the norm, kinda like an opposite alternate reality, yet some things still remain but it's too off-putting. OK it's not actually off-putting, but if something like that happened in real life, well like all that Backrooms/Liminal Spaces stuff but in music form...for Minecraft.
