And if you have, what's the goofiest costume you got for them?

I don't, and I'm like 50/50 on dressing up pets for any occasion. I don't dislike it generally, but I do think some people can go a bit overboard with how much they dress their pets; they're normally the ones who will dress their pet 365 days a year though. LOL

I have tried to put a small thing onto my current cat before, but he despises wearing anything so it didn't stay on him long. If he would tolerate wearing something I'd maybe put something small on him just for special events for fun, like a little witch hat for Halloween or something. Tongue

Nah. I have cats and I don't like to risk constricting their movement. The only time I've ever put anything on my cats is last February when my cat Eli had to have a small surgical procedure done to remove a growth on his side. I had to have him wear a onesie for a few weeks so he wouldn't lick his incision while it was healing. It was either that or "the dreaded cone" as the Vet called it, and I just didn't like the thought of him being stuck in that cone. Especially since our youngster Lily would have definitely made his life a living hell.

I will admit he did look pretty cute in the onesie (it was a little watermelon patterned one), but boy did he hate every second of each day he had to wear that damn thing. I wouldn't never do that to my cats unless it was absolutely necessary for their own good, like it was in the above case.

Yeah I'd never force a pet to do something they don't want to do for my own personal amusement. If they'll tolerate it (and won't bring any danger or harm), I'll give it a shot; if it's clear they're really stressed by the action, they've communicated that they do not consent and I should respect their decision by not forcing it.

It stinks when you have to make them do things they don't like (for care reasons), because they don't quite understand any better and can only communicate their displeasure. Sometimes, you gotta push through and get them the care they don't know they need. Sad

Yeah, that's definitely the hard part about having animals. Sometimes you have to do things they don't like, but there is no way to communicate with them that it's for their own good. But I just showered Eli with extra love every day to make up for having to wear the onesie and he enjoyed that a lot, haha. Thankfully he didn't make too much of a fuss about, the only thing that he clearly didn't like was how it felt around his legs. Not that it was too tight, but he just didn't like the feeling of something like that around his legs.

I never really had the though of dressing up my cats. At most just a collar, for ringing bell and when we had our sister cats have them, the bells were different so we knew which one was moving. Also for trying prevent bird catches, though that didn't stop my white cat for getting a few, haha.

My tabby had to wear the dreaded cone for when she had to have half her left ear off due to sunburn that couldn't heal and became worse on the tip of the ear and started to spread. Was a definite problem the cone was, can't remember how long it was, a month or two perhaps as the ear healed and fur grew back.
Her white sister got sunburned on the ears as white cats are more susceptible to it, but the worse didn't happen to her as we managed to treat her in time.

If I do in the future if I get another cat I would for Halloween or more likely Christmas with a small festive decoration but nothing else too much.

No, and if I did, I would have 2 very angry cats which is something I'd rather avoid. XD
