There's no chance I'll probably watch even half of these because dang that's a lot, but I figured I'd make this to help folks see every showcase happening over the next two weeks as well as have somewhere to talk about any of them or the games that get shown off during them.
Also interesting to see Sony having their SoP before Xbox because I'm so used to it usually being the other way around.

Only going to pay attention to the State of Play and the Xbox Showcase (just to see if we get more P4R information or if they announce Persona 6). Other than that nothing else on the list sounds even remotely worth paying attention to.

2026 Platinum Goal: 1/50 (Surely this time)

Geez, why is there like 22 separate showcases, and they already started yesterday? 23 if Nintendo decides to add their own, though there were one or two Directs a while ago, or I might be remembering wrong.
I suppose the ones worth watching are the main Summer Game Fest, SoP, Xbox, maybe PC Gaming Show but that's usually one I either skip or lose interest in very quickly if I happen to catch it. 10PM for my timezone which is just about tolerable, though last year I went to bed a bit too early before a showcase finished and missed something. Eh, sleep before work is more important though.

I watched the Six One Indie Showcase yesterday and there were a few games in there that caught my eye in one way or another: - Flip-Flop Fury
Definitely the game that has lived rent free in my head since the show more than any other one, purely because I just love that someone took the idea of "la chancla" and made a whole game around it. It's a dumb fun idea that looks like it'll be a blast to watch or play.
- Sloppy Forgeries
Again, another game that just looks like good dumb fun that could be great to play with friends among a mixture of stuff like Jackbox Party and such.
- Fraymakers
I had never heard of this game despite it coming out in 2023 and being essentially an indie-guest Smash-like. I'm curious to learn more about this one to see how it plays and compares to actual Smash.
- Gang of Frogs
Literally just Helldivers with frogs by the look of it, but doesn't seem to require a four-man squad like I think Helldivers does?
- Please Insert Disc
I have no clue what the fuck this game is meant to be from the trailer but the Steam page says it's a horror game about navigating through the UI of a totally-not-a-PS2 console to find out what's wrong with it but uncovering creepy shit in the process. Doubt I'll play it but it's a novel idea.
I could comment on a lot more of them, like the Zelda-likes or some of the really out there stuff that feels like the developers were on "dat good shit" when making their game. The biggest credit I'll give to the Six One Indie Showcase is they don't charge any developers to showcase their games, which probably makes them the only or one of the few third-party showcases that put the games and developers behind them before anything else.
