Rosy retrospection: a proposed psychological phenomenon of recalling the past more positively than it was actually experienced.
Anyone here ever do this with anything, even when you know better that it wasn't as positive as you think? I weirdly find myself doing this often with stuff like secondary school, yet I know that that time was full of utter garbage that I wouldn't want to experience again even if you paid me. I wonder if it's because in comparison to university shortly after it that secondary school is something I initially view better than it was because even the bad of that time pales to university, which makes the whole time get generalized as being decent.
I sometimes do it with my old job too, but that's usually because there's very little about my current grocery job that I think is better than my old one.
