But yeah that video also confirms my initial suspicion that it would cover the fact we don't pronounce "historic" without the pronouncing the "h". When I read it with the "an", my brain already wants to convert it to be a silent h, cuz like you said, with it just sounds disgustingly wrong.

Interestingly, I think it's odd how Americans dropped the "h" for "herbs" but Brits kept it, despite the change apparently coming from there. Wondering if that was also a French-to-America led influence and bypassed England entirely.

How I Beat NES Mario in 0.000005 Seconds

We're cooking with gas, now! So, this is the same dude who TAS'd Mario 1 to play the Bad Apple mudic video in real time (with sound), and just in general has a bunch of videos explaning the insane TASes he's made. They're incredible, and this one takes the cake. We are literally measuring beating the game in CPU CLOCK CYCLES!

Obviously, this will never be a real-time trick (the video literally goes into the physics of why this is not possible), but, as he says, this is just a video about going too far. Also, it stretches the definition of "beating" a game to its legitimate breaking point (do you consider telling the CPU to run X program "beating" it?), but damn it if it isn't funny!

It's funny watching it again though because the second episode has a mural in the Pokémon Center showing the three legendary birds but then also just has Arcanine on the mural too?

For me just random stuff on YouTube, but for an actual show I did watch all of the Invincible Season 3, first 5 episodes on day then the remainder 3 after the last one released.

Currently watching a streamer playing Ace Combat 7 for the first time. With how similar the UI looks to a jet fighting game demo I played way back on PS1 as a kid, I get the feeling that game was probably an Ace Combat game.

Was it Air Combat, by chance? Air Combat was the first game in the series, as a port of an arcade game of the same name. They changed it to Ace Combat on the second game, confusingly named "Ace Combat 2". Well, it had the same logo design of Air Combat, so I guess that's how you're supposed to connect the two, but still.

But yeah, the UI for the Ace Combat series hasn't changed much between games, not that it's needed to; it's based on the actual Heads-Up Display used in modern fighter jets. Given that, I'm still willing to bet it could be a different game, based on that common link. Project Wingman has a similar HUD, after all. That also being said, there aren't really a plethora of PS1 Combat Flight Sims, so it probably is an Ace Combat game.

So I spent the last 20 minutes going through videos of UK PS1 demo discs trying to see if I could find the exact demo I played, and turns out it wasn't an Ace Combat entry at all. It was instead Eagle One: Harrier Attack, and what made me think it was Ace Combat is the lock-on using squares like AC does. Funnily enough, Ace Combat 3 is on that same disc and I don't think me or my dad played that one yet would've likely enjoyed it since it was within the same genre.

Good lord what a fall from grace for WWE compared to the event they put out last year. Night 1 was a slog for the first half that got saved by its main event, while Night 2 was a banger in the first half and had a main event so bad it's basically the only thing anyone is talking about today. Although, this event is just the culmination of poor decisions over the last two months, and if WWE can't manage to get their shit together for the biggest show they hold then I don't have much faith in the product to be better in the near future. You'd think Vince McMahon had come back to do the booking with how bad it is.

I recently watched Moonraker, Goldfinger, Dr No, then From Russia With Love.
Purely for after reading an article ranking best Bond movies that placed Moonraker last, Goldfinger first. So decided I need to see why but also because I need to refresh my mind of Connery's Bond, may do Moore's too but I am more familiar with them so I can do my own ranking perhaps.

Saw Night 2 main event highlights and er damn really (and only interrupter) Travis Scott again? At least he got his deserved Cross Rhodes, but the finish looked weak too.

Yeah, not only was he the only interference but it was done by having him receive a full entrance mid-match that took over a minute before he even got to the ring. Meanwhile in the ring during that Cody just stays down and Cena is sitting looking at Travis with this shit eating grin on his face like some master plan has just been executed that's gonna turn things around for him except ya know, it's just Travis Scott. None of Cena's promos since Elimination Chamber had mentioned The Rock a single time, which in hindsight made sense because he was never showing up for Mania but at the time I was finding it weird and hoping maybe there would be some payoff to Cena siding with Rock at Mania, but instead you could remove the entire Rock angle and nothing changes.

Apparently the original plan was for Cena to turn at Mania, but it was pushed forward to EC because ticket sales were poor and Rock was called in to help shift tickets, and because he needed something to warrant being there they did the whole Cena heel turn then instead. It would've been infinitely better for Cena to win and then turn heel at Mania by screwing Cody to win the belt, and play off the idea that Cena hasn't won a match in a long time and doesn't know if he still has it, and got desperate to not only win a match but one that would give him a record 17th title. He then desperately clings to it throughout the year by taking various underhanded measures in matches to do so. That approach would also let him continue to do his regular merch and stuff because he doesn't feel he's doing anything wrong, and is perhaps even trying to justify his actions that he and the fans deserve him to have a long final title reign. Bring in the "Never Give Up" slogan too that he doesn't want to give up the title no matter the cost, as a way to twist what is usually a positive slogan into something abusive.
