I may be mistaken but I'm sure @Kyng is a fan of those games. Or at least games similar to it. Hmm

Slay the Spire (PC)
Currently have every character up to Ascension 15, and so far I've come very close to winning an A15 run with Ironclad only for it all to fall apart at the final stretch. The worst was having a very very powerful build and fighting the final boss of Act 3, only to not pay attention to what I was doing and cause my turn to end automatically without any block to prevent myself from dying. I tried to exit the game before the killing blow landed but alas, I was too slow. Sad

Classic Time Eater death. I try and make it a habit to count aloud what card number I play each turn so I can be 100% aware every time, and avoid doing something like that LOL

Playing STS more on my PC save lately, so slowly ascension climbing there. I still have yet to win with Watcher in any capacity. Hmm I got everyone to A3 on my PC save, and my mobile save still has everyone at 6/7. I've been pretty hard stuck on those ascensions (mobile) but it's been easy to get wins on my PC save so far.

Fortunately, you're not mistaken Smile ! I am indeed a fan of Crusader Kings II - although, I haven't played it for a while, because I simply ran out of nations to play Tongue .

The last game I played was The Sims 4. I'm trying to get back into it, after three months away (I lost interest due to an annoying glitch that deleted some of the objects in my house without warning, but selling off items from my household inventory seems to be helping... I can only assume I hit some maximum number of items!)

So, this is a game that legitimately surprised me. I remember passing it by while scrolling through the Xbox Store, and said "neat premise, but eh." I said that because I expected it to be another action Souls-like game, just like 70% of other games these days, it seems.

No! This game bitch-slapped me for that and said "I'm Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, bitch!"

Yeah, this game caught me off-guard! It's turn-based combat with QTEs for offensive skills and to dodge and parry attacks! Yeah, as soon as I saw that, I said "Sign my ass up!" Happened to have a spare 50 bucks (yeah, the game is only 50 bucks for the basic version, and 60 for the deluxe edition) thanks to my sister's late Christmas gift (long story), so I blew it on this, and have not regretted it, so far. Yeah, game is good! If you got a PS5, Series X, or PC that can handle it, high recommendation if you are into games with turn-based combat.

Yeah I was rather indifferent about the game prior to launch, but I've watched multiple streamers play it and I can't wait to get my hands on it! I know a lot of the story as a result but I'm not fussed because the game just looks a blast to play even after knowing the story on a full replay of the game. How far in are you so far?

Metro 2033 Redux (PC)
Figured I'd give this a try after getting it for free a while back, and so far it feels just okay. I get the feeling the game is better experienced having knowledge of the novels somewhat going into it because right now I don't really know what's going on or why. I also don't fully understand the point of upgrading a weapon when you can only carry 3 at a time, and you can find weapons in the field with upgrades attached to them already. Unsure

Not very far, if I'm being honest. From the small amount I've tasted, however, I know I'm in for a good game, however. I already know I love the combat, so the only thing left is to experience the story. Can't wait to see what happens.

Annoyingly, my game crashed yesterday after an hour of playing, just as I was about to save (seriously, why does this game still not have an autosave feature >_< ?)

Fortunately, I was able to redo it all tonight - and then some Smile .

Ah. Did you at least make it to the "gommage" cutscene?

Minecraft: Drehmal (PC)
Finally, finally finished this masterpiece of a custom map with @ShiraNoMai, and holy heck if this was a standalone game it'd be my GotY for whatever year it came out in. The final boss fights were absolutely insane, and I loved how at the end you get to see a heatmap of where you spent the most time on the map. You also get to see your playtime, and we had something like 1 week, 5 days and something hours, and we haven't even done absolutely every single thing the map has to see and do. For a map to offer 200+ hours of content and be 100% free is nuts, and if these developers ever made a standalone game of this I'd absolutely support them. [Image: t0823.gif]

So, this is a weird one.

This game came out in 2006, and apparently caused a moral panic because people thought the game was about abusing kids, when the game is really about kids abusing you. Whatever the case, this made copies very scarce, and today it is a rare game. Second-hand copies routinely go for over $700! Jesus Christ, I have never seen that kind of price tag on a game!

You bet your ass I did NOT buy this game. I am emulating the shit out of it. I have dropped some absurd amounts of cash for a game, but this is WAAAAAAY beyond my breaking point! And honestly, after playing it, I don't know why anyone would buy it except as a collector's piece. It's a jank survival horror game that gives you a dog a la Haunting Ground, except in this case you can actually fight the enemies yourself. It's fine, but nothing worth spending nearly a grand for.

Used to play it all the time, so this was revisiting childhood nostalgia, really.

I completed Expert mode in 188 seconds... not bad, but my all-time personal best is somewhere in the 120s or 130s, if I remember correctly!
