Well... a lot.

My PC died and I enrolled into college to try and get my Master in history. I have also been trying to learn German, Polish, Irish and French... been going rather well, actually (despite me trying to bash my head against the wall on occasion). I have also been burning through all the books I have been wanting to read and all the games I wanted to play (current ones: Les Miserables, Earthbound).

Oh wow, are you learning all those languages at the same time? What are you doing to teach yourself? Apps like Duolingo or classes in your college you've enrolled into? Congrats on all that btw, happy to hear you're on the up and up for the most part!

Yeah, but I'm mostly focusing on German for the time being (since I'm trying to do a paper on German history for the year). I mostly learn as I go, "reverse-engineering" most of the stuff I come across as I delve into these topics. International podcasts and foreign press help out immensely, too.

Definitely Polish.

Even with a native speaker by my side, I just can't get a feel for it. Someone explained to me that western speakers aren't really suited to do the pronunciation and I'm ready to believe that.

Aw nuts your PC died, did it go before you had to get a new one or did you have another or hopefully a backup somewhere on an external hardrive? My old laptop (using it right now) is still going but I bought a new one recently because of signs of death on horizon at times. Heck Friday battery wouldn't charge but it magically does again.

Also yeah that's a lot of languages to learn there, but I must know; have you mixed any up yet?

It sadly died about three years ago now and I can't afford a replacement.... BUT! Being the perpetual paranoid that I am, I saved everything to *multiple* SD Cards that I can load on *multiple* Android devices.

Oh, yeah, absolutely. I would be practicing my Polish and end up using German words in there or I would spam random "Z"s on my Irish. It is really quite tragic XD

I would love to teach a High School class and just show those kids how fun, exciting and engaging our world history can be. I wanna take them to times past and leave them there. It would be my goal to make them so invested on everything that they couldn't be sure if the air raid alarm would go off at any minute.
