I didn't know there was a Limited Run showcase happening yesterday until a few hours after it aired and I saw news of the Gex Trilogy announcement. Figured I'd just do a summary for it just to make it easy for anyone interested to see what else they had to show off.

I'm super interested in Tomba and Gex Trilogy, since I only ever got to play a demo of Tomba as a kid but always found it neat, and I liked Gex 3 a lot as a kid too. Not sure if I'll actually get either of the games (I'd only do it digitally I think) since I'll need to look into them more to see if they've aged well or not. XD

Other than those, I found the Shantae announcement to be really neat just because that was a cancelled game and having anything like that ever actually see the light of day in a finished state is almost unheard of, so I can appreciate the effort going into that if nothing else.

Good to see Tomba and Gex come back in some form, even if it's a re-release of the old games for the latter's case. I also played demos of them, may have borrowed them from an old store that lent out games and such. If I did, can't remember how far I got, or was just the demos.

Something super notable about the Gex and Tomba games being re-released on modern consoles is that the engine they're using, Carbon, was until now only capable of running games pre-5th Gen. The fact it can now run PS1 games means there might be a lot more older games from that generation that get brought to modern consoles through LRG.
