I didn't realize this game was out but just saw one of the streamers @ShiraNoMai follows on Twitch is playing The Midnight Walk so I have them on right now to see what the game is like.

Didn't think I was going to ever see an MCU film that wasn't Deadpool after Endgame, but I did see this yesterday. Went with my sister to my Dad's to help with his TV then we went to a cinema as they were already intending to go anyway, and as I said I'd help with my Dad's TV I joined them. It was at a different cinema that I've never been to before called Everyman, where you can go in, order food if you like and they bring it to you during the ads and stuff before the film begins. You got you own two-seater couch to sit on with a tiny side table too, was comfy. I went in thinking Thunderbolts was going to mediocre at best, turned out quite alright really.

@Mr EliteL: Yeah I didn't expect to see you going to see a new Marvel movie, particularly one about a cast of characters that no one probably knows except comic fans. Glad to know it wasn't a slog though.

I started watching this this morning but didn't finish it yet. Knowing you've played the game @Maniakkid25 maybe you'll find this interesting to look at:

I'm usually able to get the 1% questions on this (for those unfamiliar with the show: questions that only 1% of the British public can answer) - but I wasn't able to do it today.

Oh well, I'm in good company: 99% of my fellow Brits can't do it either Smile !

There wasn't a 1% Club for me to watched, so I just watched this instead.

Was a pretty good episode. The final round had a question about Dragons' Den Dragons: I named several Pointless ones (Simon Woodroffe, Richard Farleigh, Kelly Hoppen, and Piers Linney).

...Okay, let me try to explain.

So, McNally is a video maker that specializes in non-destructive bypassing of locks, usually with relatively simple tools -- meaning either hand-made kludges, relatively simple lockpicking tools, or -- my personal favorite -- by smacking it with either his hand or another lock. He is very funny both for his deadpan delivery and quite educational in showing just how trash locks can be, and show you should never trust a lock on its own to keep bad people at bay.

A couple months ago, McNally made a short where he bypassed a lock with a shim he carved out of an aluminum can -- while drinking a juice box, because humor. This lock was by Proven Industries, a company based in Florida (natch). They like to advertise their locks as hardy things that can stop all but the most determined attacks. So, after McNally pulled their pants down, Proven decided the best option was to sue McNally for copyright infringement and defamation, among other charges.

This lawsuit is actually impressively terrible -- and not in the usual "self-represented insanity" way. No, this one was crafted by an actual lawyer, and it did NOT take long for it to go completely off the rails. 5 pages in, they admit their copyright infringement charge is bogus because they explicitly say that McNally used a clip from them in an attempt to ridicule them. Pro-tip: ridicule counts as "commentary and criticism" under Fair Use. Just because it hurts your company's fee-fees doesn't mean it's not okay under the law. This is a POPCORN-worthy lawsuit. Dis gun b gud.

First time I've seen a celebrity special of this. It was for Soccer Aid, and therefore, most of the celebrities were footballers, or people otherwise connected to football - and most of the questions were football-themed (although they required no knowledge of football, and therefore, the show could still be enjoyed by a non-footballer).

Indeed, despite not being much of a football fan, I got all the questions right - including the 1% question Smile !

Is this the same channel where a company claimed the lock had been tampered with prior to recording, and so he opted to redo the video by ordering a new lock and initiating the recording when the package was delivered to prove the lock was actually just that shit? I thought for a second that was what the story was gonna be in your post because it started sounding familiar.

The Shock of the New | Episode 5 - The Threshold of Liberty
My art history class has this book/documentary as the main required reading/watching and yesterday we watched this episode during class. It's a pretty decent documentary if you're interested in art history at all. There was a line in this episode where Robert Hughes (the guy who wrote the book and presenter of the documentary) described Salvador Dali as "the nickelodeon of the Id" which at the time I thought was referring to the TV channel because I didn't know that it is also just actually a regular word. LOL

It almost certainly is. In fact, I'm willing to bet it was this company that said that. And then they tried to contact his wife under false pretenses, and he just went off on these people. So, McNally has legitimate causes to sue for things like harassment, because the company has never heard of the Streisand Effect, apparently.

I'm surprised his wife has her contact information available online because it seems like such an easy way for people to send harassment. What did this company even try to claim to her anyway? XD

Something along the lines of "discussing potential business ventures." Basically, any bullshit excuse they could have used to try and harass him into stopping him from ruining their reputation. These actions has lead to him ruining their reputation. So, you know, "own goal" and all that.
