Mario Kart Halloween Birthday Bash Persona
The Battle for Wesnoth

Currently playing the 'Northern Rebirth' campaign, which is one of the harder ones. It features some long and challenging cave-based scenarios (which are a bit grindy to play, but very satisfying to beat) - but it also features a large number of 'special' units that must not be lost. That's rather annoying, having so many units that need protecting!

I'm about two thirds of the way through it now, but I won't be sorry to leave it behind once I've finished.

I am curious though what happens if you pit two FEAR's against one another, since then they're both using an attack that have matching priority. Hmm

When two pokemon use moves with the same level of priority (yes, there are levels of priority beyond Quick Attack), higher speed wins, just like normal. But yeah, I'm surprised you never heard of the FEAR before this point; it's one of the most well-known memes in pokemon. That Fucking Evil Annoying Rodent has been blasting unprepared losers for years, now. It's hilarious. It kind of makes me want to download Pokemon Showdown again and screw around on there, but fuck me if I know the meta nowadays. I guess that's what Pokemon Champions is for, though...
I bet if I was given a list of the most popular Pokémon memes I'd be lucky to know 25% of them, especially if they're mostly from pre-2010 because I don't think I ever learned of any meme back then while it was even still close to relevant. ROFL
It's probably never happened for anyone to care to find out what would happen if both FEAR's were the exact same even down to the stats. Tongue

Also in Champions, can you only have 30 Pokémon at maximum without the subscription and have to remove one if you want something else? Besides doing it for shits and giggles I'd expect 30 would be enough to cover everything you could need for having decent teams to battle with. Unsure

Slay the Spire 2 (PC)
Tried doing an authentic Silent A10 2P run again and got closer than we have before, but ultimately still ended up dying. I feel a little more confident that it can be actually done than I did before but I think it'll still be incredibly challenging to pull it off.

Pokémon Pokopia (NS2)
Been making good progress on a build for once where I don't abandon it halfway through to build something else. Whistle

Anime GTA for those who don't know. Been loving this game so far. The game play is fun, exploring the city is fun, the characters are fun. I appreciate that the game is silly and doesn't take itself too seriously (I got really tired of games like Genshin and Wuthering Waves trying to be these epic stories and just being crap at it). It's nice just to have the game there just purely to be silly and have fun in it.

Elden Ring: Nightreign (PC)

Going for that 20 win streak again. Currently sitting at I think 14 or 15 wins in a row. The current Everdark bosses in rotation are among the easier ones, so it's a prime time to go for it (not that I mind having to face the harder ones like ED Balancers, Libra or Gladius). I've had a couple of games with some shit teams, but thankfully they came against the easier bosses in the game so it wasn't too bad to overcome. We'll see if the game gives me a shit team against a bad boss at the end like it did last night (it would have been by 20th win, but the game threw Everdark Balancers at me and gave me two of the most incompetent teammates to go along with it).

Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee! (NS)

Beat Erika, did the Pokemon Tower, and last thing I did was go over to what used to be Cycling Road and discovered I could (thankfully) capture wild Eevee. Glad they made Eevee appear in the wild so I can still get my Vaporeon. Not sure where I'm going to fit it into my team though. Currently running Eevee, Charmeleon, Victreebell, Marowak, Raichu, Ninetails (Alolan). Speaking of, I was glad to see that my hope did come true and I was able to get cute ice Vulpix in the game. Kind of regret not running a normal Vulpix too so I could have both fire and ice Ninetails in my team, but I need a Flyer and Charizard seems like the most optimal solution for me in that regard.

I'm still unsure how I feel about the game overall. There does seem to be a tinge of difficulty in the game with opposing Pokemon being higher level on average, but it still bothers me that so many battles that previously had 4-6 Pokemon now only have two just slightly higher level Pokemon. The catching mechanic has been extremely boring and overstayed its welcome by the time I got to Cerulean City. I was also really irritated that I lost out on my first Snorlax because it just wouldn't get caught (using Ultra Balls + berries to make it easier to catch) and ended up running away (the running away aspect of wild Pokemon in this game is just pure garbage).

So while I am enjoying the slightly increased difficulty and the battles of this game, everything else has been pretty "meh" and I'm kind of starting to see why people weren't the biggest fans of this iteration of Pokemon. If they could remake these games, but take out the Pokemon GO inspirations from it and made it more like a normal Pokemon game, I think I would love it.
