No idea, as far as I know nobody else gets this garbage. I presume it's because dry grocery can just have any of the other people present to cover someone who calls out on that side, whereas if someone calls out on dairy or frozen then nobody wants to touch it with a ten foot pole, so it's either get someone else who works those departments to come in or there's no one to do it/someone who doesn't want to do it has to do it. Like Saturday our dairy guy called out, and when the manager couldn't get in touch with the only other dairy clerk they more or less just left the whole department in free fall for the day besides giving it the absolute bare minimum of attention.

Or maybe it isn't really that long, but it feels like it to me because any in recent memory for me have been set up within a week or two of the person passing away.

Had a pretty frustrating week at work... been wrestling with a very difficult bug, which I've made about 30 different attempts to fix, and none of them has worked. However, I did have a breakthrough late this afternoon (I reverted a bunch of my previous changes, and the bug went away)... so, I'll be able to investigate that some more on Monday .
Also, I had an endoscopy on Thursday, to see whether my restricted diet (cutting out wheat and dairy) has fixed the issues with my oesophagus. And... everything looked fine, although I'll need to wait for some biopsy results before I can be 100% sure. But if they come back clean, then I guess I'll be able to start reintroducing things!

Were wheat and/or dairy causing the issue or just making it worse?
Attended a wedding yesterday, which was nice although I'm so glad to be done with weddings for a while. Today is just gonna be a whole day of homework, as well as tomorrow after I get back home from Texas.

Still don't know yet . Will have to wait for the biopsy - but, if that comes back clean, I'll be able to conclude that I'm fine with other foods .
Glad the wedding was nice - but yes, I wouldn't want to go to *too* many of them!

Been fine to whatever recently. Almost took a fingernail off, OK I exaggerate a bit but what happened did separate the very tip of my fingernail slightly from my finger, thanks to the stupid design of the new trays (had for about almost a year now), the old ones were far better. A bit of blood, but it kept contained and didn't pour out, and my finger is already healing as there's less pain now.
Went to the local zoo (well it's just outside town) for Mother's Day yesterday with my bro and sister too obviously, not been there for years as it was called something else back then, Tropical Wings to Call of the Wild.

I was gonna ask if it was Tropical Wings (I knew it was no longer called that because it got new ownership, but didn't know the new name) since I don't know of any other local zoos near our hometown.
Did you get to see any meerkats? When I went there with @ ShiraNoMai they had a big enclosure for them and I think at the time a keeper was doing a demo with them.
*sigh*
I'm sure I've said it before but I'll be glad for this semester to be over. This one has been pretty rough because of so many various factors and now I just feel so burnt out and finding it hard to care about anything because I just want a break from all of it, but taking a break for any moment just means stuff piles up in the background for when I get back to it, which then just undoes anything I would gain from taking a break in the first place.

Had a rather problematic week of being unwell, though I've been just about well enough to do my shifts at work. I thought I was starting to feel off Monday, ate out Tuesday and came down with a stomach ache, headache and some chest pains. Wednesday, Thursday and last night been disturbed by waking up sweating despite the temperature not being hot enough, I was even cold last night but still woke up with sweat (and chest pains) at around 3PM, where I sat up and took a strong paracetamol to hopefully counteract it. Also coming on with a cold as well, and lack of sleep making me tired. It's either anxiety or low blood sugar, and intend to go to the local practice to get a blood test to make sure if I am or not lacking anything.

Have you had chest pains before this time and while feeling otherwise fine? When I was having chest pains from anxiety while I still lived there I'd get them even when I felt perfectly fine. Just don't tell work you're experiencing it while on a shift unless you want to be forced to clock out and go to the hospital, which I stupidly did more than once and not a single hospital visit actually diagnosed me with anything, including the undiagnosed anxiety I actually had at the time.
Whatever it is I hope you figure it out and it goes away.

...you are the second person this week to have sudden chest pains, and that's really odd/concerning. The other person I know with them wound up being fine after running through a bunch of tests at the ER/A&E, but like... what is happening lol
Hope whatever results you get from the doctors is useful/helpful and you start to feel better soon

I have had chest pains before and already got seen to that, well I was told to get over the counter codeine + paracetamol, and that tends to sort the pain. A pack lasts me a long while anyway, I don't use them a lot but make sure I have new pack ready once I'm really low or once used up.
It was mainly the sweating and heart rate I had while in bed that concerned me the most and after reading about low blood sugar being a possibility made me want to get myself a check. Have to phone in the morning as they couldn't give an appointment annoyingly today. I don't care if it's in a few weeks time just as long as I get a test at some point and not wait until the next time I'm unwell, or even too unwell to do so. I remember the last two times I've been there they tend to have acted like I shouldn't be concerned because I'm still young and like, do I just wait until I've collapsed or something to be seen? I have gotten better the past two days and no sweating during my sleep, had it though during Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night.
