I don't know how but that channel popped into my front page feed just now, and specifically fed me this video:
It's a little painful seeing what the Lego is going through (the parts where you see the beam carving into the Lego that's holding it in place made me wince) but it's impressive how much strength the stuff can have. They have another where they break a steel axle too, but if no one here is into seeing things break apart the channel has lots of other cool experiments they did using just Lego.
Indeed, I did see that video a while back. Quite amazing what Lego can do if you know what you're doing with it!
This was another one that impressed me... it's a Lego Rubik's Cube that (kind of) works:
And here's an improved version, that fixes most of the problems with that one:

Looks like Lego is possibly moving away from just doing those level kits for Mario and expanding into other offerings:
There was also this set announced recently which I think is just really cool and wanted to share it: Lego Loop Coaster
Also, here's the photos I took of the incredibly impressive (and big) builds featured on top of the Lego store at the Mall of America during my recent vacation: https://imgur.com/a/My27iYL
I don't know if the photo does the size of the mech justice but I hope it does.

Ugh I hate the first thing that came to my head with the LEGO Bowser is that he looks like a FNAF animatronic.
Cool with the builds at that place. The sabretooth tiger is the best there easily in that if viewed from a distance, it doesn't look like it was made by LEGO bricks.

And yeah, I wonder if these builds are the largest ones of any Lego store. I know the one at Disney Springs in Florida comes close but I don't think they're remotely close to the mech in my photos, and I feel like a store at Disney would be the only good chance of figures larger than those at Mall of America (if we exclude Legoland which I feel isn't fair to count).

This is the first LEGO set I've been actually interested in building for a while. I love that there are two versions of the Deku tree!

The majority of the comments I've seen on this is that it is overpriced for what you get in it, with other sets at similar price ranges offering a lot more.
I'll admit I like the look of the set but it does make me hesitant not knowing how much of the 2500 pieces aren't used depending on what build you go with, and I also don't care to rebuild it to change it so sticking with only one option for $300 starts to feel pretty steep.

Yeah, I have to agree that it's overpriced at £259.99 for 2500 pieces.
The Saturn V rocket I got five years ago was a much larger build with 1969 pieces, and that cost me £109.99. Yes, that was five years ago, and prices have gone up since then... but even adjusting for inflation, that comes out as being equivalent to £136.17 today.
I hope those who get it enjoy it, but TBH, I'll be giving it a miss!

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I'm happy to just not bother with it and wait to either find it at a lower price or just see if a different Zelda set comes out later that I like the look of that's easier to stomach the price of. While writing this I went to the Lego site to look for a different set I wanted to share that just got announced, and saw that the recently added Notre-Dame de Paris set comes in at $229.99 with a whopping 4383 pieces. However, there's a The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr set that costs $459.99 and has 5471 pieces, which is only 1000 more than the Notre-Dame set yet double the price, so clearly a Lego set based on a third-party franchise gets a massive price bump.
Anyway, for what I was actually going to share, it's this Tuxedo Cat set that's only $100 and it's really cute! I don't know if I'd actually want one of my own or not but I just really liked this when I first saw it.

Yeah, that Notre-Dame set looks pretty spectacular. Doesn't look like it'd take up too much space either .
Not sure it'd sit nicely alongside my collection of vehicles, though!

Just saw that a new Mario set has been leaked. It's based on the classic SMW Mario + Yoshi sprite and includes a crank mechanism to make Yoshi move. 1215 pieces total at a price of $130 USD.
This looks pretty sick, and I'm surprised so many official images are going around without an official announcement having been made yet, especially since this set was apparently at the Lego booth at SDCC.

In the time this leak came out, LEGO have officially put out an announcement and pre-order page for our two heroes!
It's slated for an October 1st launch, and will cost €129.99 / $129.99 / £114.99.
There's a video showing the moving parts in action that is really neat to witness!
NGL I kinda want it lol

I always wondered if a set could be based on a sprite from a classic video game in LEGO form, like those colourful....tiny things that involve an iron, I don't know what they're called but people have made sprites from them. Cool to see this SMW one is coming even if I don't want it myself.

I'm sure it could... indeed, Lego seems ready-made for that!
And they seem to have done a great job with the SMW one .

Seems Lego are going on a Mario set spree because they've now announced a Mario Kart line-up: https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news/...cale=en-us
I like that most of the characters are standalone sets. I've always wanted to get a Lego Yoshi for @ ShiraNoMai but most of them are either in a bigger set or one of those stupid blind loot boxes.
