Wasn't exactly my best week ever.

On Wednesday morning, I had an endoscopy. I'd already had one in May, which had found a severe narrowing in my throat - and I'd been given some medicine to help with that. So, this was to see whether that had been working. And it had, to an extent - but, it was still pretty narrow, so they put a little balloon in there to widen it a bit more. That operation went well - but, I wasn't able to go back to work that day, and I was only able to eat liquid foods for the rest of the day.

Fortunately, I'm feeling much better now. I'm able to eat solid food again, and my throat isn't even that sore any more!

Yesterday our wifi went out around midnight and didn't come back on until about 6pm [est] due to Hurricane Helena hitting us. The power flickered off and on twice then went out around 3am but came back on around 3:20am, so it wasn't off for very long.

I wasn't feeling too well yesterday so I went to bed early and slept in. I felt a lot better today, I think because it's getting colder outside when it's dark and we still have to use the ac because it gets hot inside the house I might be getting too cold too quickly. Better change up the summer clothes to fall/winter then!

Oof, throat narrowing and that darn Hurricane. Glad to see you both seem to be doing fine though now.

A quite good week for me, a lot of bowling, had a third session Friday with my sister and dad, I got a new second best score of that already beating the 131, got a 144 which was only just lower than my best 148. That 144 could've easily been better, potentially 165 if things went my way in turn 9 and 10. I can feel myself beating that 148 soon though.
Work has been whatever, they change the pack size for grapes then don't bloody send much of it in, as well as other fruit, just minimal amount then customer complain there's nothing. Ah well.
Visited my step-grandfather today, breathing seemed hard at times for him, among other things I don't need to type about. Was just good to see him and for him to see us though.

Dentist tomorrow, yay.

Is there any specific medical reason why your throat started narrowing or is it doing it just for the heck of it? I get the impression you haven't always had the issue if you only learned of it back in May. Unsure

Well, better the Wi-Fi died all day rather than your power so at least there's that silver lining, as well as not getting your shit rocked by Helena since it seems like you're fortunately safe and not suffering any damage from it. Were you bored without Wi-Fi all day though or did you manage to find stuff to do? Tongue

My week has been a real trip so far. My co-worker is on vacation this week and every day I've covered her so far has thrown something at me:
  • Saturday I get a phone call that bakery had a massive delivery that as of this morning is still in my cooler untouched.
  • Yesterday my entire ice cream section broke down, as well as my sales display and my back room cooler, so all of it had to be taped off so customers wouldn't open the doors (except the back cooler obviously, that just stayed shut). Got sent home early because I couldn't do any work on frozen as a result with the saved hours being for catching up today.
  • Today I had to deal with the fallout of yesterday, which involved putting back six shopping carts of product that were pulled so the freezers could be worked on, then finishing all the work I couldn't do yesterday as well as the work I would usually do today as well.
  • Tomorrow is an 800 piece truck I have to get finished in five hours with the help of another co-worker who usually works on dairy. Despite telling them not to do this, my manager opted to schedule no one on dairy until 3pm tomorrow and if that doesn't change it means me and the dairy guy will have to juggle both my truck and the dairy department which is going to be a nightmare.
And I can't even relax when I'm coming home after all this shit each day because of homework I have to do. Nooo

Another week of headaches for me. I presume it's from poor sleep on Monday night but regardless of reason I'm just sick of most weeks this semester giving me headaches. I'm supposed to be going to a Halloween party tonight but if I can't get this headache to go away I'm not sure if I'll manage to make it. x.x

Halloween party before Halloween, eh? Did ya make it? I got a few Halloween things recently although they were consumables, not something spectacular, I'll post about them in the Spooky topic.

Had a meh week of work, yesterday I went in on my own time to sort out my work side of the colleague website as I couldn't get on to book holidays for a while, finally got a week or 8 days off now. Would've been a couple days longer if I didn't have to work today though I was fine with it giving my section leader a day off now before I'm away. I've slowly coming off a cold that I've had for a week, funny all three of us Produce colleagues were all ill at the same time.

Planning to go to MCM Expo this Friday, purely because of the Uncharted reunion happening that has as a panel with Nolan North, Richard McGonagle and Emily Rose, and to just walk around the place looking at the booths and such.

I did not unfortunately. A shame because I was looking forward to the costume I was gonna wear. Sad

Ooh. That feels unexpected to me, only because I'm basing it off of how MCM felt in the last few years I went where the gaming stuff had become rather lackluster compared to the early 2010's ones we attended. Was there a reason for it being specifically this year? Uncharted 1 was 2007 so it isn't like this year marks a notable milestone anniversary i.e. 15 or 20. Hmm

My day was....ugh. I'm real tired of my visual design lab teacher just being utter shit at guidance beyond "don't like it". Two weeks in a row I've gone in with ideas for logos and he just dismisses them all and sends me back to the drawing board and I'm like what the hell do you want?! Nooo

Yesterday was fine, I got the General Entry ticket like I did last year. If I got Priority the best time I could make would be 10:50AM or something so an hour more instead of two for £10 more wasn't worth it. Though I wouldn't have had to stand in the huge mass of people waiting to be let in at 12noon in the queue hall for half an hour, just about managed to endure it.

Yeah not much, the special occasion was all three attending London at the same time really, the host did mention the years they were currently at with the games, 17, 15, 13 and 8. The last time they knew some of them were together was 2016 with Nolan and Richard though I can't even remember that one. The panel was good anyway, talked about how they got the roles, what they liked from the games, their ad-libbed lines and a Q and A from the audience.

Overall it was OK, not the best one I've been to and just worth it for the day. I got 6 posters (Yoshi's Island x2, Trials of Mana, Genshin Impact, Rayman, Gurren Lagann), another Genshin Impact rubber strap keychain (Bennett) to add to my collection (up to 7 of a max of 10), though I wanted a second one (Fischl) that wasn't there unfortunately, and a Genshin Impact character standee (Hu Tao).

My boss was off for three days - but nevertheless, I was rather productive during that time Tongue . Added a bunch of new features into the software that I'm developing - and learned a bit more C# along the way Smile .

However, I won't be working tomorrow, because I'm going to stay with my girlfriend for the weekend! We'll probably watch a fireworks display - weather permitting, of course Tongue .

I almost asked if the fireworks were Halloween related then recalled a certain date XD

Which.... speaking of that date, it cannot come any sooner holy heck. My anxiety increases every day from this shit, and it's been getting progressively worse because others are also anxious about it and talking about it. Endless cycle of anxiety-induced anxiety.
